I'd love there to be a Prototype 3. But I don't see why everyone keeps mentioning Mercer being alive everytime they talk about it. He died by being consumed. He can't come back. Pariah being the protagonist for the third game would be a much more interesting story.

Mountain Canyon Not sure what to think with him since that's a slightly different situation. It was hinted at in the very end that he's alive in God of War 3. I'm not really surprised that he's back. Plus I'm a big God of War fan so I'm glad the story is continuing in a faithful way, but if I'm honest I would've preferred if they just stuck with greek mythology and the timeline we already know, since that's the essence of God of War. I can already tell a lot of the elements that made God of War great are lost in this new one. Especially with the mechanics and gameplay.

Main characters usually don't die in the middle of the story. I guess it all depends on the execution and the reasoning behind it for me.

Hello, i do like the idea of Alex and Heller being in the next game, but what i would also love is the idea of Pariah being the main protagonist, or better yet, make it where you could switch between characters, you can choose to play as Alex, having the ability to have armor, have some of the past abilities back and obviously new ones, be Heller, able to summon and control infected(improve it by maybe letting him control bigger baddies and others types), old powers improved more or add new ones, and Pariah, don't know what powers she could have but it would be interesting for her to have very unique abilities that maybe differ greatly from both Alex and Heller. I want this to happen, but it won't sadly, even so gotta have hope anyway right.

Well they are bringing God of War back, and it looks like they are doing a good job of that. From what I've seen from the trailers, they actually make Kratos a likable character, yet still keep the over the top violent gameplay that fans of God of War have come to love. After God of War comes out, I can totally see someone doing the same thing with Prototype, making Alex a much more likable character, maybe hire a new voice actor (my vote would be Troy Baker) and give him a sense of humor and more humanity. Also give him some crazy new powers, (some sort of projectile would be very useful).

2:48 Could it be that Elizabeth's hivemind eventually took off some kind control over Alex's mind and he didnt notice cause he was under her influence? It kind of makes sense, first Alex tried to inject her the parasite that was consuming him inside out, and she rejected it, could it be that Elizabeth's Redlight could also "reject" being completely asimilated by Alex's Blacklight? I think thats a possibility, I also remeber a lot of people saying Alex could regain control inside of Heller so the theory of Elizabeth having a limited ammount of control over Alex's mind is not too crazy of a theory, now changing the subject, another theory I liked was the one about Pariah being Captain Cross, that ended up debunked by the Devs, but it was still a popular theory acording to wiki and some fans, so if Pariah makes an apperance I really wish he is working with Blackwatch as a Super Soldier/Specialist like how Cpt. When Mercer attacked heller he has some sort of acid burn so maybe when Mercer was taunting him he knew that he’d be toxic to heller and heller wouldn’t be able to survive with him inside of him. Besides that Mercer just got lost in his own darkness from all of the memories of killing people.

Here's my speculation, as a fan of the prototype franchise. This might already have been spoken somewhere else but nonetheless these are my own thoughts. I agree that Prototype 3 is to come sooner or later and I think we haven't seen the last of Alex Mercer. If you can remember one of his iconic quotes. " The virus didn't just kill him, it became him. Copied his body down to the genetic level. It became me... I AM the virus..." Reflecting on the video, Alex did had some humanity left inside him, as letting Heller consume him to let out a massive surge to wipe out the city of the infected. That way, Alex's quote ""My work is almost done..."", is done.... partially, as Heller still is infected, and the location of Pariah is not known. (Last known location - Vandenberg Air Force Base) Speculating on the statement where more than one identities drive Alex to perform his actions now as a villain, or possibly one more powerful to overwhelm the mind, might happen to Heller too as he'll probably have an inside fight with Mercer. Possibly he'll look for a way to get him out of his head. In my opinion Heller is just a vessel for Alex. Or in other way, Heller will come face to face with Pariah, at which moment Mercer will kick in from inside. "...it would be 'extraordinarily bad' if the two of them ever met face-to-face..." - Raymond McMullen (Referred to Alex and Pariah) I'm pretty sure Alex, even consumed, is aware of his surroundings as he's dormant, watching from Heller's eyes Pariah would feel the presence of Mercer inside Heller. I'll let you continue to speculate from there on out. Again, these are my own thoughts.

Would be sick if Mercer knew that Pariah existed and needed to be stronger to get to her, that's why he set his plan in motion of infecting all kinds of people turning them into evolved and Mercer got surprised by Heller adapting and evolving the way he did even though the other evolved never went past their '' look i got sword arms '' stage. Regardless, Mercer found Heller to be nuisance and tried to consume him, only to find out that he couldn't so he set another plan in motion which we see at the end, consuming all the evolved near him and becoming this god-blacklight virus being that (did a fuckton of damage to my nearly maxed Heller) and could kick my ass within a minute. We all know Mercer held back and got annoyed if he killed us so his plan was for US to absorb HIM (considering he can't absorb us) and in doing so he becomes us and we become him. So maybe his plan was to become this Mercer/Heller hybrid with way stronger DNA, unable to be consumed and endless evolving potential to face off against Pariah. Also my own thoughts xd

Literally everyone including mercer where hitting him with barely any effect and one blow to mercer took nearly 30% of his life away. Mercer couldnt even come close to him and was constantly fighting him from a distance throwing missiles at him. On top of that mercer constantly had the opportunity to consume nearby soldiers to increase his life. If this was in a different scenario then mercer would be toast

I do think Mercer had some intricate plan in motion by letting Heller consume him because Mercer didnt seem to give it his all at the end. Yeah, that would be a great plot if Radical actually planned it. But it's clear that they trashed every plot thread from P1 to write a stereotypical survey-screened game and story. Then TRIED to cover the plot holes up with some badly written comics. Who even has the copyright now? Want to read good P3 stories? Try fanfiction. Hylian is a great one, he really wrote good 'future Mercer' stories in the Mass Effect universe. So is Legionary who wrote a very good Prototype and My Little Pony crossover. :D Seriously, it's really good.

Separate the Shield Power from the others but active it only when selected (In prototype2 we automatically use the shield when we press R1... this was a problem for me cause I wanted to clear the game without using any powers and when you use the shield with R1 you also active your other powers...) 4. Take The Armor and Musclemass back but just as Skins(The way Prototype2 implemented the Built in armor(For example the Defensive Mutations that allowed you to be bulletproof/Gain Healt and Defense) and the built in Muscle mass was great.

Captain cross was Pariah. Hè just like his mother had a monster form and that monster form was the supreme hunter. Hè was stronger then mercer and greene. Hè didnt went all out against mercer in theyre first fight. In theyre 2nd fight hè took all kind of missiles, bombs and hits from mercer and barely got damaged. While hè himself took down helicopters like nothing and 1 hit took nearly 30% of mercer lifebar. Mercer had to constantly fight him from distance

P A I N i played the game in 2009 and Wikipedia wrote that cross was the supreme hunter and changed it a year later. The biggest hint in the game when 2 scientists where talking how Unique pariah is right at that moment they showed a scène where cross was walking. Lol a hint? They basiclly just threw away the truth. Killing a runner, going 1 on 1 with mercer was not to show how skilled or badass hè is, because no human is capable of doing that but later in the game u find out why hè is sucha badass

How do we know if that even is *Alex Mercer* in *Prototype 2* ? After being irritated by his complete personality transformation from the first game, I just played *P2* as though it was actually *Pariah* wearing a *Mercer* skin. After all, what is his main goal throughout the game, but to make himself some new friends (like a friendless pariah)..? For that matter, why repeat doing only a male protagonist? Y'know, now that I think about it, *Mercer's* sister *Dana* seems to have quite a remarkable ability to survive in both games. Maybe when she kidnapped her, *The Mother* ( *Elisabeth Greene* ) decided that she'd like to have a *Daughter* , too? I reckon that the developers of a *P3* game would come up with some really fascinating new abilities & tactics (of the typically bloody disgusting kind) for a *Female Prototype* . Imagine that line-up of protagonists to choose from (or to play with in multiplayer): *Alex Mercer v1* (reborn), *James Heller* & introducing *Dana Mercer* as the *P3* . (Coming soon to the *P4* , heh...)

I feel that like if the game is brought back it should be an entirely different plotline because both Prototype 1 and 2 have the same ending "Protagonist kills final boss and prevents destruction" Prototype 2 did not have that great of a reputation so if it does happen that a new game is added it should be much more different so that we don't get the same ending a third time.

Some problems with your theory: If mercer was holding back in the fight, then why did he consume 8 of his evolves to gain the upper hand on Heller?.. The comics or Prototype 2 has never shown or indicate that Greene is influencing him and lastly, I highly doubt that Heller would get corrupted since unlike Mercer, he still had his daughter looking out for him and along with the good memories he had with his wife.

I think if they were to bring out a new prototype it would look so realistic and what graphics look like now on other games then prototype would look so scary and I think if they were to bring out a new one then it would take a lot of time for them to perfect the game and the way the character or characters move talk and even how then blink but the year is 2019 hopefully there will be a new game because I think the gaming franchise would be in panic if it comes out I thought prototype 2 was good but if the type of graphics that there is on games rn prototype 3 would be speechless
