Edgebanding tip

So essentially you’re creating a small shadow line that both looks intentional, and saves you from having to get the plywood edge perfectly smooth, correct? I was wondering about doing something like this for a plywood table top. Could be a good solution.

I think this is a clip of a longer video. I get what he is saying but missing the point about taking the 3/4 x 3/4 into everything he does to the cabinet. The video seems cut off. But thanks, great idea.
