A very good fisherman AND a person that cares about his/her environment enough to pick up others trash. I tip my hat to you and the Wifey. Thank you for caring. And thanks for sharing. Blessings

Never used the butt of the rod to get off a snag. Good tip mate, I'll have to try it out

I do it to protect the reel from too much pressure, BUT!!! It definitely destroys the rod over time so only do it if ur ok with a minced rod grip 🤙

The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight kzbin.infoUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!

Ochre's family knows their cooking. Do your chicken schnitzels the exact same way (flour, egg with milk, breadcrumbs), and the deep fry method and dealing with the oil. Absolute GOLD for youtube. Great vid mate.

Flour, egg, then breadcrumbs is excellent for fresh tailor as well, nothing better than fishing early morning on K'gari, and coming back to camp for fresh crumbed tailor between some buttered bread.

The cookout reminds me of big family gatherings by the pond on my grandparents farm in Eastern North Carolina. After some luck fishing at one of the famous North Carolina coast fishing piers everyone would get together for a feed. Sometime back before I was born (I'm 60) they built a dining hall just for the purpose of fish fries as we call it. Just tons of deep fried fish, little corn meal fritters we call hush puppies and Cole slaw with lemonade or iced tea. Very simple but soooo good.

Never forget F.E.C flour, egg, crumb. 😁. And deep frying is reasonably healthy too cause the oil is so hot it seals the crumb before has a chance to seep into the fish. Lovin the content bro, solid.
