I think many people have a strong misunderstanding of swimming. It’s one of the most physically demanding sports that requires particular skills depending on your swim stroke specialty. Micheal in particular is a master at butterfly which is arguably the hardest stroke in the sport. Considering he’s fantastic at practically every stroke AND has the most gold medals, he is 100% one of the greatest athletes of all time.

Until you find out you had a tiny cut on your hand and you're immunocompromised. Maybe it's just the fact that both those things occasionally happen to me because of a chronic illness, but best policy is using gloves and washing your hands properly afterwards. Why risk it?
@JYD-gz9un10 сағат бұрын
@@vrinkee I agree that using gloves + sponge is the best policy, but there is little to no risk to be had if you have a regular immune system. To the average person, you aren't risking anything if you are cleaning up afterwards.
@vrinkee9 сағат бұрын
@@JYD-gz9un Yeah, I guess for the average person it's a matter of preference. Lots of people would just prefer not to touch the sponge or the toilet by accident because the thought of it is gross, and it's not exactly an unfounded feeling. The ages where sh*t was flung out of windows onto the streets were not good for the average person's health, and sh*t continues to be a health hazard, just less so because of a modern day understanding of hygeine and effective medical treatment. But it's still dangerous. We just know how to reduce the chances of it making us sick. That connection between sh*t and sickness is still going to be made in people's minds though.

Silent Hill’s protagonist would approve this one
@SundaraRamanR13 сағат бұрын
I can understand Garnt and Joey having an "ick" reaction to Connor's no-gloves cleaning - I also have the same instinctive reaction - but to be honest I don't think it makes much real difference. As long as you use soap and clean properly later, you end up just as hygienic, and sometimes gloves affect your movement or sensation in tiny ways that you don't even realise, that end up with a less effective clean overall. And it's easy to get a false sense of security when using a glove, when in reality dirt has a way of getting into little nooks in your hand even with gloves, and might remain there if you're careless with washing because you had gloves on.
@vrinkee10 сағат бұрын
Still, best policy is using gloves AND washing your hands properly afterwards. We're not about to lick our toilet bowls, so missing a little stuff using gloves is fine. I personally don't wear gloves when washing dishes because the bacteria hasn't been festering there for a long time and contact is pretty safe, but it could if I missed something on a dish while cleaning it. I'd wear gloves if the food was moldy though.

History behind the Molotov cocktail name is even cooler. Molotow cocktail was named in Winter War by the Finnish.
