Been out the install game for about 20 years now. This video helps a lot. I can still do it. Thank you!!!

You make this so easy. I had a similar set up in my Jeep Liberty, and it looked nasty. I've been looking for a good video just for the Nissan Frontier (which I currently own) so I could do it myself a little bit better. Thank you for all the info!

We customers realize selling products is in the interest of any dealer but please don't claim a LOC is "required" when most modern amps, and especially all powered subs, take high-level input and auto-turn on. Especially these Rockford ones do it superbly. Just splice a (front) car speaker wire and extend it to the sub = done. Only needs power+ground, nothing else.

I'm not a dealer, so no i'm not going to "require" you to do anything.

I’m trying to hook up my system to my factory radio. Wires are ran. Do I connect my remote amp wire to the blue white like you said. I have a ‘19.

Thanks, this video was super helpful to me. Do you know the size of the grommet to the left (small one) I got one with my amp kit, but it was to small to fit.

If I'm still running the stock radio if I cut off the RCA ends and hook up to the back speakers do I still need to run the remote turn on wire (blue wire) to the head unit?
@duffyt26 Жыл бұрын
No. All Rockford powered subs take speaker level input wires AND turn on based off of signal or dc offset in those wires as chosen on the built in amp. No need for a LOC as this video suggests. It's not the year 1883 in car audio anymore. Line out converters are completely useless.

How did you get the rca cable up to the radio that’s where I’m at
@ProvoBeastAudio Жыл бұрын
We used a wire hanger to help fish it up through the dash from under.

How much was the job for this truck?

The parts we used are linked in the description, labor varies by shop, but I usually takes about 3-4 hours. I’d call around for rates from your local shops

So it has nothing to do with a 2018 nissan frontier since it has a aftermarket radio in it. Great.

How do I get to the rear speaker wire to splice the rca ?
@ProvoBeastAudio2 жыл бұрын
Need more context. If you have the same powered sub, you simply cut off the rca ends, strip the ends, and extend to your speaker wires in your vehicle. Alternatively use a line out converter.

Lol why would you strip the paint and cut the carpet when you had other options. Glad your not touching my vehicle
