Oh boy! I hope those parts work! My kids 09 Corolla xle has the jbl system and steering wheel controls, and I've been struggling to find a harness that'll work to connect to the aftermarket stereo i got. I've never ran into the issue of a harness adapter not dorectly fitting to the harness when installing an aftermarket stereo. And I've put in a few over my years of tinkering with my cars. So i appreciate you making this video, or else I'd still most likely be lost on this one.

@fabrizio4081 it did work...but I couldn't get the steering wheel controls to program even following the instructions. But no biggie, the kid doesn't even use them. The main thing is that the aftermarket stereo with Apple/Android car play works.

Since you have the wired android/apple auto I have to ask.. Will it not work on bluetooth? Also if it will work with Bluetooth why would we plug it in?

if bluetooth works, doesnt necessarily mean apple carplay/android auto will work. therefore for those two functions you'd have to plug the phone into it.

Exact same issue here!!! Mines 2013 Corolla LE… it would also be nice to keep the steering wheel buttons functional.
