Was nice to hear him play "Try" in here! That song doesn't get nearly enough love.

David Davis For me "Try" and "Another kind of green" are the best he has Done with the trio. But Obviously the whole album is Amazing.

Beautiful attack on the front of the note. Complementary amount of compression. No flabby sag. Too articulate for lesser players. Each note speaks individually. Superb guitar, amp and player. Fantastic insight into a player carrying on the lineage of BB, SRV and Carlos.

Soon as he started playing Terrapin I got so excited and was anticipating him going into the verse and the entire song and then he stopped and said every dead fan right now knows exactly what their next 15 minutes is about to be and is excitedly awaiting it - all based on this one chord. Holy shit that man is an absolute genius

At 1:40 John talks about the idea of "killing unicorn gear" and "stop guitar players to believe that they're limited by their abilty to get an amplifier". I'm ok with that but, don't get me wrong, the J-Mod 100 retails for $5.990 and the Super Eagle for $11.500. Come on.
@Nobody-on6gt7 жыл бұрын
Luca Moqi doesn't want guitarists to be limited by sounds they can get with his sig amp and guitar. Just the price! Might have to sell my wife's car NOT

Especially when he probably has multiple of each of them, and he didn't have to pay for a single bit of any of it LOL. The rich stay rich, because once you're rich and can afford it all, people wanna give you everything for free.

Accessibility at those prices? Naaaah man. That's SWART or BOOGIE territory. I get the fact that this combo is a "fail-safe". That's great and congratulations for your hard work. Musicians are addicted to "sooounds". Not just ONE. If you're Hank B Marvin or BB King, ok I can see that. I think I can speak for a lot of us, when I say, the eternal hunt for "lost souls" guitars / amps / mics /keys /rims /cymbals / effects....is an addiction. Your babies need friends. Siblings. Rivalry. You can't..I can't live in a box. More! I want More!

All the sounds he is talking about achieving have already been accomplished using what is now "vintage" gear. I use to work at a shop Landau use to frequent. He was always nice to everyone. Built him 2 or 3 guitars back then. We use to give him one for his birthday every year.
