These are great players. Don't have one, but wouldn't mind one if I found one used for a reasonable price. Though I'd likely refinish it.

Hey Rich! I found this older video of yours. Perfect timing as Im lookimg for and will buy a Prs, probably the Mira in black or the new se 24. Im kind of leaning towards the Mira, an affordable yet high quality guitar under 7 lbs and I dont have a Prs so its time lol. I always appreciate your honest opinions! Thanks for sharing!

I've picked up two used SE's over the last few months. A 245 and Soapbar II. Both under $500 each. Both are excellent quality and sound fantastic. I put in HB sized P90's in the 245. The Soapbar already had two P90's. The SE's are as high quality as any US made guitar but people still think that anything coming from Asia is less quality..racist actually. Their loss. I've ONLY purchased from Korea, Indonesia and Japan (when I can afford their quality) for the last 30 years and have not looked back. Great review BTW and Best Regards and Best Wishes!

How do you feel about this vs the harley benton sc custom? I figured they have the similar neck construction but prs almost cost the twice.
@thenovicenoisemaker3 жыл бұрын
That’s a very good question! The feel of the necks are fairly similar, the Custom II is a bit thinner though. The pickups and tone variation on the PRS are a fair but better in my opinion though. You’re right though, this guitar was £495, I paid £198 for my SC Custom II before Brexit. If you’re UK based then you need to add about a third extra to the listed prices on Thomann. Thank you for watching and commenting and subscribing, very kind of you

Nice to see a review on this guitar, as one of my students just picked up the same one. The white color with the tortoiseshell has a very classic look to it, and I was surprised as well at how well it was made. By the way, if you want some tips on tuning your guitar before you do a review video, I give lessons online in nine countries. I would love to fit you in, and take you to the next level, my bro! 🤔😉🤟🏻 Also, if you would like to see how the pickups sound and differentiate from when you use the push/pull function on the knob, check out the first 25 seconds of this Starla SE review out; kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5LcfGeJa8SSq6s

@@thenovicenoisemaker you got a teacher! Great, that will definitely I’ll get you where you want to go? Didn’t have to be me, but somebody with so many guitars can always use a little tutoring. Hell, even I need tutoring, and I do this full-time for a living, playing 185+ shows a year usually. But check out that video I gave you the link to. He goes into great depth about how the pick ups are unlike any other PRS pick up, and why. Just an overall interesting video for such a relatively inexpensive guitar. My PRS McCarty model cost me $3400, and it has low output pick ups also. But for the money, the guitar you’re playing in the video is pretty damn amazing.
