Pruning hydrangeas in spring is a controversial topic for some gardeners, but for us, it needs to be done. ✂️ We have 4 different types of hydrangeas: Multiple panicle hydrangeas (including Quick Fire Fab and Firelight Tidbit from @pwcolorchoice ), a Cascade hydrangea (Fairytrail Bride, also from @pwcolorchoice ), and two bigleaf hydrangeas from the Endless Summer line. ✂️ Not all of these SHOULD be pruned in spring, but some of them need it anyway, and we'll show you why. Watch before you prune this spring so you know what to look for and what cuts to make. 😀
We hope this is helpful! Make sure to leave your comments and questions below, and thank you for watching! 😉

I have hydrangeas in my garden, unfortunately I took the tag off and now I don’t know what kind they are. I’m going to prune them anyway, hopefully they will look better than they are now… you gave me courage 😊. Thanks for all your information and sharing…

Hi Barb!! 👋🏼👋🏼 Thank you for watching and we happy to hear we could help with pruning your hydrangeas. Remember to try not to prune more than 1/3 of branches from each plant. Ultimately, you have to do what you have to do, but it's a good guide so not to stress your plants out too much. Have fun and happy gardening! 👍🏼💪🏼😊😀

I have one of the summer crush hydrangea from last yr. I kept it in the original pot & put it in my shed over the winter. I think my zone is 6? West Virginia. I ended up forgetting about the plant till this spring. I think it may be dead. I've been watering it all spring. There's no green visible. I pulled it out of the pot but couldn't tell anything. (I'm new to hydrangeas) I broke a stem off to see if there was any green. It was kinda hard to tell but I kinda felt like there MIGHT be a very, very tiny hue of green. Do u have any tips or suggestions? I greatly appreciate it 🙂
