The Phat model. I used it myself, and it's generally more premium in comparison to the cheap plastic on the Slim model. In retrospect, the OLED model's higher quality comes with the cost of lower battery life, but i'm fine with that, because the Vita is made for the user to have fun. Don't get me wrong, though, the changes on the Slim model were very welcome though, and i wish Sony made a 3000 model, same as the PSP, which had the absolutely striking OLED screen and the aesthetic (the matte designing around the buttons and d-pad, metal ring around analogs), and general premium feel of the 1000 model, and the MICRO USB cable slot, free 1 gigabyte memory, slimness, and ergonomics of the 2000 model.

Overall nice comparison, but one thing you got wrong. By hacking the vita you can adjust the rgb range. The default rgb range is slightly limited.

@gonzalo28693 жыл бұрын
I do not recomend to anyone to buy the fat one. FAT has: - Oled Screens that can be damage by time to time (static images, colofull wallpapers, the bright of the screen and some colors like white and blue may produces staints in the screen after some time for dead pixels) and also may appear some yellow stains in the borders of the screen. - Oled battery is crap. People says it last 15 min less than slim wich is a lie. Slim has a far more battery, 1 or 1.5 hours more, not those extra 15 mins some people says. - Oled Screen is not such an amazing thing, in fact theres no such a great diference because the oled tech of these consoles has 10 years, and these old tech compared to the 2021 OLED tech ones is crap. - The directional pad is not so diferent between models but it feel a bit better in the slim model. - The Charger cable from the FAT model is disgusting, while in the slim model you can just use any cheap USB-micro usb cable and it will do the job. - The build quality of the FAT it trully feels more premium but is just an illusion and is only because the weight of the FAT model. The SLIM model is just 25-30 gram less. Thats all. Like i said, FAT model gives you the illusion of be premium but is not, while the slim has a noticieable battery life and not the 15 mins more than the people says, a longer screen life (it might last forever compared to an oled screen withc techology of 10 years ago) a better directional pad and a of course the option of getting any mini USB cable as a charger. And no, dont insist of getting the FAT for the quality of the oled screen because the diference is not big as many says because that oled panel from the FAT model was build witch tech of 10 years ago compared to the actual oled tech. Dont buy the FAT, save you money and get the SLIM model because with basic care its gonna last forever, not like the FAT models and those screens that can be allready with some dead pixels.

Hi, probably did not mention important difference about missing internal storage in fat version (so you need to get proprietary Vita memory card to be able to hack it, while you don't need it in case od slim version, as it has its own 1GB internak storage). Also, OLED looks more fancy, but the quality is actually in LCD (much more natural colors, much more friendly to your eyes for the long-run, better battery lasting and also longer life of LCD pixels). I actually bought both of them in a very good shape (as I also like them both), but sold the fat one in the end to my friend. I really like them both. I decided to keep the slim one and am very satisfied. Also he is very satisfied, so everything is okay :) For me the fat one is about "image" and the slim one about "practical" point of view (micro-USB, so you can charge anywhere without carrying your cable, better weight for better portability, if you want to take it somewhere with you, better battery life, etc., etc.) :)

I love my oled vita but the issue i have with the charger is the brick itself. The small grooves on the actual charging cable usb port? Those are for the brick because it has these 2 bar things inside the slot for the female usb port that slide into the grooves of the male usb port. Its extremely annoying but its not that big a deal when you can use the regular cable to charge it virtually anywhere. The brick is really the issue for me lol
@13guns872 жыл бұрын
Slim for me. I prefer the phat but given age and availability. Slims are in way better condition where I live which is UK. While phat is more a premium product, it's devalued when it's full of scratched and dents. Only getting one to hack for fun. Getting a psp gen 1 too and pulling it to bits lol. Sticking in a pi zero, cm4 probably a bit too big unless there are dedicated boards to fit which is unlikely given how hard pi are to get ATM. Please somebody help me buy a vita. I want to buy one from Japan on eBay. I don't know which one to get there are ones that are b019, T019, OLED, slim. Also will ps5 games stream over to Vita ?
@Whatsup_Abroad2 жыл бұрын
Screw the western games. If the psp ps1 and vita library aren't enough for you then you are spending way too much time playing games. I've got enough games on the vita to last me for years, and that's just the musou games and western games. the jrpg games will probably take me over 10 years to finish.

@@VoloKinProject I thought ps vita's slim model is better than the fat model, like psp 3000 is a more advanced model than 2000. I was wrong

The problem I have with the first Gen vita is the charger 🔌!! The screen are burning!! The after market charger doesn’t work in my vita only the original! I preferred slim vita ! 🤷🏻♂️.. the LCD screen is good
