I'm actually about ready to smash my PS4 into pieces. UPDATE: Not sure if this is a true fix, but I decided to disconnect and take off the extended storage device from the top of the PS4. It connected to wifi. Reconnected the the device and this time placed it a foot or so away from the PS4. Connects fine now. Maybe the storage device was messing with the wifi capability by sitting right on top of it? No clue, but it worked for me, will update if I have more issues.

****HERE'S HOW I FIXED THIS PROBLEM**** For those of you who are still experiencing this issue (some of y'all commenting recently). We have 4 PS4s in my house (I know, we just can't share) and this happened to 3 at the exact same time (1 was a newer model). FIRST: Try updating the software on your ROUTER! If this fixes your issue, great! We didn't think to, we went ahead with this next step: ****RESET YOUR ROUTER**** This is more than unplugging it. For us, this involved calling our internet provider because we lost the login info for our router to enable it after reset. After resetting it, your PS4 *should* be able to find and connect to your WiFi. All of our consoles connected with no trouble, even the oldest one that had WiFi connectivity problems. I hope this helps y'all who clicked on this and got frustrated at the lack of answers 😊

My son was having this same issue for over 8 hrs today so I finally decided to call my internet provider which they performed a manufacture reset of the modem and everything instantly worked after the reset was complete. Hope this helps.

Yes they said if you go more than 30 days w/o resetting your modem it will do this so it’s best to reset it every 30 days because the same thing happened again a few days ago so I reset the modem and it worked again

I’ve had this problem for awhile, first I changed the DNS which worked for awhile but then Error came back, kept trying different things nothing seemed to work, so then I shut my WiFi off on my phone and boom I’m back on, hopefully it don’t go out again but make sure you have nothing else connected to WiFi around your PS4

To fix it, I had to turn off and unplug my ps4 for about a min or longer then i turned off my internet router/box for a min, then I turned the router on and waited for it to be on and fully functional, then turned the ps4 on and it was connected. That worked for me if you have not tried it then do it it might work for you to. This is for hose looking for a solution because i searches it in dec 2020 but no one knew how to fix it after seeing videos from 3 years ago about it

Hi everyone. So my sister had this problem with her ps4. Turned out to be an issue with her Xfinity modem. I tried hard resetting and restoring the modem back to it’s factory settings with no help. A call to them to reset it did the trick. Id suggest giving them the same details to that include the network name and password to make it easy too.

I can always see my internet name, but it just disconnects so frequently for no reason and I'm closer to the router than my son's PS4 which is downstairs yet it is not the slim PS4 like mine is but his works perfectly fine and my Xbox works perfect too which is right next to me ps4

For anyone wondering here are the steps: Settings > Network > Set up internet connection > Use Wi-Fi/LAN cable > Easy > Click on the options button next to the pad > Click frequency bands > Set to automatic. This solved the trick for me and for many others, If this doesn’t work for you then you should try resetting your router, or using other methods in the comment section.

Hey man I need help if you don't mind but my network isn't showing up at all ever since my family decided to be dicks and cut off the net. I learned that they got a new one behind my back and I figured out the info but can't sign in to the ps4 itself but it works on other devices. I'm at a loss here and getting aggrivated. You can fix it easily by holding reset button on your modem for 10 seconds

I found a fix try out these steps 1. Get any phone that has mobile hotspot 2. Connect the hotspot to your ps4 and have it connected for 5 to 10 minutes 3. Connect your WiFi back to your ps4 if it doesn’t work for you sorry

listen you guys.. if you have an extended storage device all you have to do is disconnect it for a sec. after that your ps4 will connect to the wifi with no issues. then after that just reconnect your storage device and restart your ps4 and youre good to go

I just plug in my Ethernet cable directly to the PS4 and then try to use that but i didn't know the password so i then reconnect my wifi and it worked.
