PS5 Dual shock D-pad issue??

I am not sure but I don’t remember to be able use one of the buttons on the Dpad and be able to control two neighbouring ones.. this is possible on any of them buttons.. I already checked two different dual-shock controllers..
and starting to think it is Design issue..?
So annoying where …while playing game and under pressure (attacking foes) I am able by accident turn on binoculars instead of weapon…
