In your opinion, based off the changes Sony made in this latest model, what do you think is the main reason for the changes? I can’t help but think it’s to make modding the controllers a little more difficult. The changes are subtle but significant enough to require new hardware solutions for modded triggers, remap boards and what not. Especially with the real ease of their new Edge pro controller. What do you think?

Especially the trigger modules. I have Extremerate digital triggers in my BDM 020 model controllers and this looks significantly different than previous versions. BDM 010 to 020 were subtle changes, but I agree either they want to make life hard on modders and third party pro controller makers like Battle Beaver or this is somehow cheaper to make. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for a 030 trigger kit to come out from Extremerate. What I really want are digital trigger mods for the Edge controller because I don't like the trigger stop solution they put in that controller.

Watched 4 other teardowns before this one and yours is the only one that mentioned the clips holding down the motherboard. Didn't even see them, and everyone else just effortlessly removed the board, as if they did it off camera. ..and the only one to show the backside of the analog sticks, which are useful for buying replacements prior to opening.

This year I buy a new ps5 CFI-1200A and a got this controller inside the box the problem with this one Sametime the controller charge and sometimes its not charging and not detected the problem a buy a new controller and all works good Sony made a mistake of this controller its not working like the original one the older

Not good BDM-030 is very cheaply made compared to 010 and 020 they even removed the ribbon cables for the triggers and changed them with Soldered to the board cables

They are pretty heavy yes, you can just remove them if you want.

@@ItzDrPlow Some prefer a heavier controller, while I prefer a lighter one. My hands are small, so a bigger/heavier controller makes gaming feel more like a chore.

@@hustla818 People have different needs and tastes. The Dualsense's changes in weight and form factor aren't dealbreakers, but I do game with my Dualshock 4 whenever possible. I think the changes were smart on Sony's part because the overall technological advancements, and I'm sure Xbox gamers will find it a bit easier acclimating to the Dualsense because it's closer in build to the Xbox controllers. Other than the symmetrical sticks, I've heard many times over the years that the Dualshock's lightweight nature was deemed a turn-off because people equate lightweight with being cheap/toy-like.

Thax. I will buy old Controller. Cheap trigger and cheaper cables for trigger with extra wires. Made mods on controller extra difficult for sell pro Controller. Sony 👎

Yea modding the BDM-010 and 020 is easier, I like those better as well..
