On my lg oled tv difference in image quality when play games on my ps5 slim and ps5 pro is obvious. Games like days gone on ps5 pro do get huge boost in graphics fidelity and i recommend to everyone to try. Love my ps5 pro

yes my next tv will be oled with all the ports the ps needs. but i will wait till the ps6 before i get a new t.v. i have a decent 4k and the ps5 slim looks great on it. i may not be able to get 1440p or vrr and 120htz but i get the rest. and coming from a ps3 it looks lovely. i am playing drakes fotune fron the ps4 remarsted collection. and it look better than uncharted 2 did on my ps3.

5:27 i just bought my first monitor. Samsung G5 1000R. Left my Launch Ps5 in Living Room for Kiddos. I moved my PS5 Pro to the monitor and it was the best move ever. Cus if the kids kick me off the living room. I go to the pro gaming room i call it lol. But yes i bought the ps5 pro cus i knew i was gonna keep it for the long haul. AND MY KIDS GET A PS5 OUTTA IT! THEY ARE LOVING THERE 1ST CONSOLE. My first console was a Sega and my second was Nintendo 64. My Third was PC. Than First Xbox. Xbox 360, playstation 3, playstation 4, psp when they launched. But gaming has come a long way and glad to have grown up with it. I tell my kids they super lucky they get games that are way superior to what we was growing up on. But fun factor is another story lol. To everyone though just hope gaming makes you happy!

Great Video. Can’t wait to see you post after hooking up to an oled display! No one needs a pro just like no one needs new iPhone every year. The PS five fat or slim are still great machines but some people just want what they want. I have a gaming PC too and I don’t wanna sit at a desk for hours. Sometimes I just wanna chill on my couch and know I have the best console to game on plus I like the boost to psvr2. I’ve said this before if you don’t have a TV capable of letting you experience the upgraded graphical fidelity then it’s not worth it for you. If you’re one of those wireless people, what kind of Internet do you have? if you got crappy Internet your experience isnt gonna be as great as someone wired in with Gig fiber. Lastly guys people are trying to judge videos of someone recording a screen you gotta see it in person . If you don’t have a PS five at all and you were planning on getting extra accessories a few games maybe even expanded memory well then maybe you wanna just go ahead and get the pro right off rip and save some legwork later. The console is a beast, hands-down.

Here’s my advice: this past Christmas I had my PS4 console since 2015 until now I finally got PS5 digital console all it takes time and patience, I wanted the OG PS5 console but I realize after all these years I’m use to the physical disc drive while I was using the PS4, but it’s time for change on physical gaming I see why PS5 slim doesn’t have disc drive unless you buy the disc drive as a accessory. i brought a ps5 slim with disc drive in october. as the pro was $1199.00 AUD. and i got the slim on sale. and the drive is important to me. and you can not get a drive here anywere. even though sony was meant to release more when the pro came out. and i am coming from a ps3. i have a 4k tv it is about 5 years old and it turns out it only has hdmi 2.0 and no vrr. so glad i did not buy the pro. and it cannot do 1440p. but i am really happy with it. it can do 60fps and hdr at 4k. and it looks amazing. great video too.

What kind of 4K TV? I have the 2018 Samsung NU8000 65in HDMI 2.0 which can do 1440p120fps after setting the PS5 resolution settings to automatic.

Yes, I’m seeing it on regular basis. Just try to turn off and then turn on WiFi on your PS5 and issue will gone at least till you turn off the console. Then just turn it off and on again

I believe it’s a combination of factors. But yes, mainly it’s a HW update - new chip, new more powerful GPU, more storage, new cooling system. Also R&D costs.

Technically, most of us haven’t had the regular plate monster for all that long due to Covid and lack of availability. which is why I really don’t think that it would’ve been wise of Sony to render it obsolete with a newer console so soon.

Pretty much agree. As of today the advantage of pro version is not so obvious as it was for previous generation. I remember when I got ps4 pro the leap was so obvious. It was MUCH quieter and much faster. Picture was also better.

I think it's worth it for a specific type of player. A console only gamer who buys games day one will have a good experience on most titles. If you're more casual, for multi platform, then it'll probably not be worth it. My ps5 sound comes from the psu. The fans are quiet.

PC gaming is a bit tricky thing. I was a PC gamer for 15 years and to have best of the best out of the games you need to upgrade your HW pretty often like at least every other year. Good GPU will cost like a new PS5 pro, best GPU will cost you even more. To play games for free (if you are talking about torrent) is also a tricky thing as pretty often to launch that hacked game you need to do a lot of stuff and also it is not safe in general. With console gaming it much easier and safer. But keeping your ps5 is a good choice it still more than enough! Happy gaming!

If we want to use the whole TFLOP perspective... PS4 = 1.8 TFLOP PS4 Pro = 4.2 TFLOP Thats about 250% more compute performance...and why a lot of people can see the difference in actual game play. PS5 = 10.28 TFLOP PS5 Pro = 16.7 TFLOP XBOX Series X = 12.15 TFLOP (just for perspective) Thats just 60% more compute performance...and why a lot of people can barely see the difference in actual game play and most cases you actually have to stop playing and actually pixel peep and look for the difference 😅. Oh yeah, from the TFROP perspective PS5 pro is far ahead of any other console that is on the market right now. But what is the point of all it incredible performance if you are gaming on the old LED tv that doesn’t support 120hz for example? Also not so many games are enhanced for ps5 pro still. My point here is that numbers are good but what really important is what you receive at the end on your display. And now for majority of people original PS5 or PS5 slim is more than enough.

Problem with the Pro isn't the GPU. Its the CPU really holding it back. It really should've used Zen 3. You'll get higher res but frame rate improvement isn't much.

​@Boostlagg what are yall talking about. You are getting quality settings like on reg ps5 but with 60fps instead of 30fps. That's double and with better ray tracing. The reason why some people barely see a different is they have older tvs or tvs too smaller see. If you have any newer TV with vrr or any large size TV it's a big difference. And phone saying going from 30 fps to 60fps or even 50 fps tou cant tell is nuts.

Yup even in old 2k ultra hd monitors you can realy see differences between ps5 pro and base ps5 graphics those who told that ps5 pro and ps5 have thicky differences they definitely have old 1080p led tvs or old hd led and led tvs that aren't dispaying textures on high end resolution which can visible for us but on ultra hd tvs even on 2k texture quality difference realy visible

@@Boostlagg of course you wrong, CPU is okay, Zen 2 is chosen one for current gen consoles, so, that's why. CPU barely utilized by lame developers, that's why you cant reach 60FPS on regular one. No issue with hardware here. its software problem, and it will continue. If you want something more - just wait for Steam Console

I got my PS5 Pro last week, I finally pulled the trigger when the official PS store restocked on their disc drives (fck scalpers), and comboed it with a Samsung 2TB SSD with heat sink, which was on sale on Amazon.

​​​​​​@@01Ozzy06 2TB is not "huge". You will need minimum 2TB for games on/off, a 4TB to store the majority of your collection, even then probably not enough. I would get 4TB, but the price tag is stupidly expensive. I only got a branded 2TB based on a lucky find for only $70. It'd be nice if current gen could house two M.2s. The other thing I like about the XSX is allowing 3 storages at once, 1 proprietary and 2 external SSDs 🙏

@@01Ozzy06 At first I thought 2GB was more than enough, but after I ended up buying close to 30 games, trust me it fills up really fast. A lot of the PS5 exclusives are close to 50 to 100GB each. Also you need to leave some space for upcoming games.

For the pro version you better to get the best gaming monitor you can afford. In general as my experience showed me any monitor gonna be better for gaming than a regular tv. But to get maximum out of your ps5 pro you need to get a really good gaming monitor.

well you're better off with the pro despite the cost, simply because sony has said they will be taking advantage of the capabilities of it. Even though right now there's almost no difference with games side by side. But i'd recommend waiting for a better deal like some packaged games or with the drive or another model. They weren't pushing the pro in stores, just the original and slim which isn't a good sign

@@01Ozzy06 that's just it, unless you want the anniversary edition that badly there's not much reason to buy a ps5 pro. best offer was $75 gift card with a ps5 slim or original. NOTHING in my area for the pro. I'll wait as i was more tempted by the earlier ps5 offering bundles but not enough to convince me to get it. Consoles will have better offerings later and the ps5 pro is more likely to come bundled with the better offerings. A simple coloring isn't enough to convince me. Plus i'm hoping they will have a ps5 pro with the disc drive included or built in too. I'm a fan of going for good deals second hand or used so physical has the better offers (it does when you factor in garage sales, flea markets, pawn shops, thrift stores etc)

Restarted a ff7 rebirth play through. The pro loads up the game really fast. I went back to the original and it is loading a lot slower. I'm very satisfied with it.

PC has its own set of problems primarily with games not being optimized. Stutter struggle is a real thing on PC and is annoying after. I've got a 3090 5800x combo and yes when games are optimized its a great experience but not many games have that level of care on PC. Console games while inferior graphicaly with reduced performance are more stable overall.

It has its own advantages and disadvantages. For example when you playing on tv you can play laying on the couch, sitting, standing. With monitor it’s not possible, in most of cases you can just sit and for long gaming sessions it’s pretty important to change your position. But from the pic quality of view monitors are way more better.
