I was able to get the PS5 Pro 30th Bundle, super lucky, and went in almost immediately. I had to switch cards because it kept saying my security code was invalid. I just left my local GameStop and i got a preorder for the 30th anniversary controller. Their website says unavailable which i took as sold out but the girl said it might only be available in person in order to combat scalpers. Might only be limited to 3 to 5 per store too. I know my switch lite hyrule edition was limited to 3 per store recently. If anyone wants a controller i suggest hitting up your local gamestop in person.

Picked up a PS5 Pro, disc drive from PS Direct and the 30th Anniversary controller from BB. Was on the fence about the Pro but after waiting for over an hour in PS Direct's waiting room, I decided to grab one and sell my current PS5 to offset some to the cost. My games are mostly physical, so it was cheaper to buy the disc drive than buy all my games again digitally.

I got the regular pro. Usually wait for bundles but ps5 been out long enough I’ve gotten so many free games I’ll just buy it now and save money. I already have a red controller for my pc so I’ll have 2 controllers with the standard pro. Spend the rest of my money on a skin maybe of of those cool new metallic ones and buy a sticker for the ps logo 50¢ I don’t need the charger accessory and I’ll buy my own knock off gear like a Etsy custom bag for my wires and whatnot. Poster also that was included in the bundle. I just wanna get the ps portal. I don’t need it but seems like a cool accessory I’d love to play cult of the lamb or stardew valley on it not having to sit al the tv all the time. So I’m glad the 30th pro bundle sold out cuz now I can have better plans for the pro.

I feel like the PC vs. Console argument is dead, and consoles have been winning for the last five years. Games are made and designed to run on PlayStation and then ported to everything else. PC gamers only make up about 30% of the gaming community now. As for the PS5 Pro launch, I think people need to manage their expectations better. I was a little disappointed in not securing the limited edition bundle. However, I was able to get a standard pro and limited editions of both controls. So it was a definite win over the original launch of the PS5.

FF7 Rebirth slightly better? You need glasses. Dragons Dogma 2 stayed above 50fps in heavy areas while the standard PS5 dipped to lower 30's. Its worth it to me. PS5 Pro will do alot better games running UE5 and the console will age like wine over time.

When people talk about the superiority of PC gaming and how more advanced it is than gaming on console, they should really add the caveat, only if you have a decent machine. Every year Steam does a survey of the hardware being used by its users, and only a tiny percent of PC gamers have computers that are more powerful than the PS5 Pro. Most of them have relatively poor GPU’s in their rigs, such as the aging GTX 270 or 360. These are very popular GPU’s, but are significantly less powerful than the base PS5 and way less powerful than the Pro. Very few PC gamers have the luxury of having a RTX 4070, 4080 or 4090 in the rigs, so in the majority of instances, PC gaming is no where near as top tier as you make out.
