isn't there a bug on edge tx with the dynamic power settings, except in their new version, think I read this in the changelog...

no can't find anything, I was wrong there was no bug.....

@@Todd_G_FPV found it, was on expresslrs github, but was a rare bug...

I started my FPV journey just last year. And a year ago I just got my new shine radiomaster pocket, right after it's launch, that replaced betafpv lightradio3pro for me! So I went to the field, to train there with my 5" Nazgul, and it's crashed due to failsafe just in 100 meters away from me, thanks to this packet rate setting)) To that time I have no idea about the packet rates, especially on the radiomaster defaults. Thanks to the local community - they said me to check the packet rates after I asked them how could that failsafe was possible. But I destroyed my first battery, coz nazgul falled down on it from 50 meters. "Thanks" to the Radiomaster for their defaults. Sadly this video came here right year later than was needed for me to avoid that :D. TY JB!

I can’t even feel the difference between 250 and 150hz and 150 gives really amazing range on 1W

That's part of the many details which make it hard to get into this hobby. Not hard to understand, but here are simply way too many small things to learn

I run 50hz for mid-ranging and it's tops 😊

My Pocket came set to 250Hz by default.

yeah i had RX loss on my tiny pavo20 not too far from me because of this, i changed it and it is much better, for sure 03 video link goes out before RX link now

i had drones that would not bind to my zorro, happymodel said change to 250. now everything works.
@ThrashFPVАй бұрын
I built a tinywhoop for my dad and he got a new radio and i couldnt get it to bind because i was used to 250 hz on my radio and didint even know this. Took forever to figure out and really wish it wasnt sent like that. Everything worked when i set it to 250

Is that an ExpressLRS folding antenna on the Boxer? If so, could you please provide a link to it? Thanks!
@NathanHickeyPАй бұрын
They probably ship it on 1000hz because fastest is the bestest. haha
@typebinАй бұрын
there is no such thing as bestest. use goodest instead.
@ugpfpv361Ай бұрын
Yep, I see people on reddit all the time telling noobs to switch their packet rate up to 1000 just because "faster must be faster" because it will feel So much better😂

I jumper T15 shipped at 50 Hz. Maybe they are better than master lol

Where did you get that antenna from thats on your radio does it work better then the stock one
@CDRaffАй бұрын
I have seen this come up on Reddit from time to time, but didn't know why it was happening. This is also probably why I almost always get push back suggesting that they change it; they are assuming that Radiomaster sent the radio out with the best settings and some dummy on Reddit is telling them they need to change those default settings which would feel off to a newbie.

Is this a RadioMaster issue or ELRS issue? Remember, all these settings are unique for each model number. The packet rate value is saved for every model number. Is RadioMaster picking the default values or are the ELRS devs choosing them?

What would be the range on a 330 hz

@AITullball3333Ай бұрын
1000Hz really is unnecessarily high, even for racing.

Could setting it to F1000 reduce time it takes for a receiver and TX to "bind"? If I remember correctly, the RX first tries to find an ELRS connection with the packet rate that it has saved (which is typically the last packet rate it used). If it doesn't establish a connection, it starts cycling through packet rates. Does it start at F1000 when cycling through packet rates? If so, that would ensure the connection time is minimal. I think Radiomaster should set the packet rate to 100 or 333 by default. That will provide more range than F1000, but work well with drones AND work well the switch configurations that give full resolution aux channels for PWM receivers.
@desmondkristian9033Ай бұрын
I never changed the packet rate ever since I used my radiomaster pocket. And yes, it is set as 1000, no wonder my range really sucks.
