this was just more confirmation for me that psa completely picks and chooses who they give 10s to on what cards. they are controlling the entire market. they have particular people they give grade 10 to on certain higher valued cards. and they keep the population how they choose. so many of those cards were 10's it was unbelievable to watch. they know which to give you a few 10s on to make you re-submit again and dont just get mad and stop sending them stuff. sure they'll toss you a few 10s on some cards that sell for SQUAT .. but the ones that actually pull real money NOPE no 10s for you !!! I have been doing extensive research and zooming in on multiple cards they give 10s to on PWCC and a few other "big name" sellers and I see sooooooooooo many "10s" with white edges, white corners, cardboard corners, blatantly noticeable off centering ... and im like how the hell did this get a 10 and then I look at a raw for 5 bucks that looks better than what they give the 10. and can find 8's that have perfect centering, perfect corners, and im like hmmm something def fishy going on here no doubt. big seller spends 50k a year with them verses common folk who spends maybe 500 bucks a year .. both send in Griffey, McGwire, bonds etc rookies .... the 50k a year guy gets the 10's ... 500 bucks a year guy gets 8s and 9s ... its really really messed up how they do this. big seller buys raws from guy who bought from a guy who bought from a guy been passed around 5 times ... small seller pulls cards fresh out the pack and set first owner of card never touched perfectly flawless ... big seller gets 10 .. small seller gets 8. its beyond rigged. I mean dam you spent 1,000 dollars for those. after u sell them with all different fees shipping etc you make chump change for profit. but had they given you some 10s that were actually well deserved where you coulda made a nice 5,000 profit in the end NOPE they wont let you do that! also dont blame your centering on why you dont get a 10 at all go spend a few hours and look through tons of psa 10 graded cards and youll find sooooooo many with bad centering all over ...

I feel the same way. I just got some cards back from SGC and there were some absolutely flawless cards that came back eight and 8 1/2. Another thing I don’t understand is when you declare a value for your cards when you submit them. @@rogatsby I love 1978 Topps, getting 8s on those is pretty impressive as a lot of mine come back at the 7 level. 1977 - 1979 Topps are my favorite 3 baseball sets ever. Thanks for sharing. PSA is exceedingly tough on anything 80s and earlier, especially in the last few years. In my opinion, if the card has great centering, sharp corners, you really have to look at the surface. So many of our nice 80s cards look great, but we’re handled a little bit, and if you look at the surface you’ll see small scratches, especially with Donruss. I enjoyed the video, and that ‘81 Cobra is awesome!

I feel your pain my June submission special is just getting back 6/24/21. Though they didn't even "claim received" it until August. I submitted during the special for 1966 68 one my baseball cards got murdered. Think they are extra harsh on baseball only 2 8s and one even graded as a 1. You are talking about a time when reds and blue print might be off so it looks like 3d card and nothing was 10 centered. Also sent pokemon cards in few months before that submission and got back 11 10's 16 9s out of 54 cards then mostly 8s, 7s and 1 5. That was mostly 99, 2000 stuff.

I am settled in, lets go! I have been thinking about sending in some of my '80s PC cards wanted to see how you did. I am hoping quarterly specials start again at some time. I think if Murph had 2 more HR's he would have been in. He got judged then on the steriod era numbers that immediately followed him and were shunned by the same writers that didn't vote him in for not having steroid numbers. Boogs RC in a 9 is a win. '83-'85 are some of my favorite topps cards.
@cacsports3 жыл бұрын
Glad you settled in and appreciate your enthusiasm. I was very happy with how this order came back. In a few cases I was surprised at how well the cards graded. The cards of the late 70s and through 85 remain my favorite. I was hoping for a good quarterly special but PSA just came out and suspended all of the lower end grading services until July, so there won't be any quarterly special in Q2!

also .. it was hard hearing you accept and take all those bad grades like it was your fault "well they aren't perfectly centered so I understand why I got the bad grade!!!!" ... thats not why you got the bad grade ... like have you ever actually looked at these cards that got 10's on ebay??? .. 9 out of 10 times theyre just as badly centered as yours if not worse. black borders with white showing ... bad corners ... yea youll find a few perfect ones of course but 9 out of 10 times youll find them terribly centered left to right and or top to bottom and got 10's ...
@cacsports3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your words but there was no fault that I was accepting. When I get cards back, I am comfortable that the grade is what it is unless I see something egregious. I am going to get a jewelers loop though to take a close look at corners and edges. PSA has definitely tightened up their grading over the past six months and I think they are tougher than SGC. Like you said, you can see that when you look at older graded cards.
