Psalm 18- Great Praise from a Place of Great Victory

In this lengthy but wonderful Psalm, David praises God for delivering him from all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. He sings about the present and future power God gives to him.
It also points to the person and work of Jesus the Messiah all throughout.

I am getting so blessed with your teaching from the psalms. V 15 says “at your rebuke, O Lord”and “At the blast of the breath of Your nostrils”. So when I look back at v 14 and read with arrows and lightenings, I ask why all the fuss when it just takes Your breath God? Then I realise that God strikes terror into the heart of His enemies. That is the reason for the arrows to scatter and the vanquishing lightening. What a great and terrible God we serve. Blessings in Christ

I speak hebrew and to read the Hebrew version of this song after this explanation is so much easier. because it is hard to understand even in English. Does it also refers to the return of Jesus in the end of times? that thunder and earthquakes will take place before it happen? I must ask, I dont understand yet why does his God has fires comes out of his nose and he is so angry?(18, v9-10) Wasn't God a God of mercy? and love and kindness? it is a Jewish thing to think God is hateful . And why does he find darkness to be his hiding place(v12) I missed that. Please help me understand . Thank you

Yes I'm here this afternoon because today God has given me a word. He has allowed me to know through this scripture in Psalms 18 that on today That The Glory of The Lord has come. Amen . Yes no doubt David continued to honor Saul inspite of David knowing Saul was trying to kill him. I can relate to David it was a sense of achievement to humble yourself over the sin that David abstained from in order for God to deliver him from Saul and the many enemies due to Saul . David greatest sin he struggled with was definitely murder it came natural to him like breathing. He got off on it just as much as his next great sinful lust sex. But it was murder that fueled him David the smallest thing triggered him to kill you like sex. So Saul not dying at David hand was a very great accomplishment . That God confronted him overcome before making him King over his people you can't have a trigger happy murderer leading like everyone would be in trouble. He struggled a little in the process of trusting God to deliver him because a murderer doesn't come to your cave while you're sleeping to leave some thing behind to make you feel afraid. Natural born Murderers who brag on their serial killing tendencies from childhood like David . Don't care if you fear them they will kill you rather your afraid or not . Serial killers today start off killing harmful animals like dogs and cats in their isolated teens. David killed bears and lions so the brother killing struggle was real. David was in that cave to murder Saul 👀 but he overcame that sin to take him out with his own sword that night that's why he was boasting. It does feel good when God steps in and leads us into deliverance to o conquer sin more than conquering men . Spiritual defeat to a person of God would always be more to desirable to a man or woman after God own heart. Why defeat people when I can defeat Satan and David Loved God more than anything so he conquered the very thing that separated him from God . At the time he had a legitimate trail struggling with good reason to kill someone.and didn't. The battle to David was not to see himself glorified by killing Saul . Saul really wasn't the issue he wanted to see God glorified. David knew early in his life God anointed him to be victorious in warfare . He's not bragging he is testifying that I'm a weapon to overcome God enemies so Im going to defeat you. It takes a humble person that knows what God has anointed them to do but refrains in order to allow God to do it. Knowing God has made them well able too. It's always going to be a great blessing when we inspite of our gifts and capabilities don't get up and just do it ourselves. But we humble ourselves to let God. Not my will but your will be done though you slay me yet will I trust you. When God knows he can trust you with trouble trust he will do the impossible to promote us. They will be battling trying to stop your calling they put you in the wilderness ok stay in the wilderness , quietly, don't fight to start your own church. Don't get out their nooo if God called you under a tyrannical King submit to him . He excommunicate you in the wildernesses and during his paranoid delusional episode and separation from God like Saul. To decree in the land a warfare against you everywhere you go not to feed, receive, nor shelter you because your trying to take his place so he wages a war against you. Let your Peace keep you still let God as the year's go by, lead you to pray for him don't be revengeful. You may slip in the cave to show him what you could do but if you didn't. Instead you put the sword down and begin to pray for him and honor him as you eased up out of the cave and back into the line of fire. God gave you the battle and told you not to fight so God will honor your that you didn't and Bless Saul to because of you. If God says be quite don't say nothing just don't do it, if God says don't fight back just don't do it, if God let them exile you into the wilderness and says stay right and don't try to escape this battle just don't it . Get you a camper in the wilderness and be happy a camper in the camp just obey God. Don't ask no questions as the year's go by you may feel like it's taking to long but resist Satan trying to make you lean to your own understanding and Continue to trust God. Remember this is God he trying to save you and your enemies if they wrong and you don't engage. If will maybe cause them to see their error and turn away and be saved too. You get to a point that you grow up rather you want to or not and God matures you to know. Look this isn't about you or them this is about me and you roll with the punches knowing at least in your life God getting the victory. We all on the same team if a group of team members get to tackling down their own players when he's about to make a touch down. He's working for the other team that's the. Same thing in God we all can't get on Satan side to fight against other believers and churches. One of us have to see it and consecrate ourselves to God praying over the people of God.Lord they down hear fighting about the members you have to them, they down hear fighting each other to win Grammys to praise you, they fighting against each other about who save and who isn't somebody got to be a David. Somebody got to pray for Saul after all it's him who started a war against his own soldier who had defeated a giant he couldn't. But David biggest giant allowed him to see God Glory because of who David refused to defeat. People of God you are not God and if God placed someone over 10000 and you over 2. I know you feel more worthy but God knows the heart and if you Honor your leadership it shows God you Glorify him and he will show you his Glory. You have Christians Pastors mobbing up to dismantle other Christian Churches. God said the gates of hell would not prevail against the Chirstain Church. But God never said that we would not be falling because it's not hell that's tearing us limb from limb it's The church that is killing and prevailing against itself. That's signs that Christians are suicidal against the church I don't care how you pretty it up . Stop fighting against God Church Christian people we need every part of our body. Some of you are battling self affliction you cut yourself by cutting off others in the body of Chirst. Others are suicidal bombers as soon as a Christian church in your community begins to boom and God increases a body of believers together and they are on fire for God . You go and covertly plant a bomb and wait until God is at his highest level of Honor . Then you trigger your detonator to drop your bomb of a scandal to tear the church apart. Others are cannibals you use gossip to eat the Christian leaders thier wives alive. David was homicidal but a murderer is a murderer and if you say you are on the Lord side and you want to see God Glory . Be like one of the greatest murders be deliver humble yourself and let God will be done irregardless when you feel you got the short end. When you Christian life seems to be a battle by other Christians don't cut your throat pray for Saul show God he got some People who wants to see his will be done. It's not about you or your church God built them and you need to stop tearing them down. Someone said with this new Ungodly mobs they always coming after Christians well Christians always coming after Christians. If God can't us Christian to stoo his church from being destroyed from within. He will use a wicked nation to come up against the Christian Churches who have been tearing his kingdom down from the inside. God is glorious and he is going to do what he wants to do and place his sheep under who he wants without your permission. He did it to David with Saul in Ancient time and he's still God today stop because that very same sword your swinging and decapitating other Christian leaders with has two edges.
