I hate being negative because you bless us with your music for free. Is anyone else bothered by all the background noises? It’s a shame that the noises distract from your music. I know you need someone there to help record. However, the constant shuffling and moving around and other background noise is very distracting to me. It’s almost like sitting in church and having someone unconsciously kicking the back of your seat. They don’t mean to do it, but it draws your attention away. Dear friend, can you do anything to prevent this? It’s pretty high frequency noise, so a high filter would cut it down, if you can’t stop your assistant from making these noises. I know another pianist on KZbin has her husband sit in another room to record, just to avoid this very thing. Maybe others are able to hear the higher frequencies and aren’t so bothered by this as I am? About halfway through, it sounded like the person was writing. Beautiful songs, and well done--as always! Please accept these comments as loving suggestions for improvement!

Yes I have the same issue. It's such beautiful playing but the background noise takes away from it.

I don’t like to even mention it, because Ms. James plays so wonderfully and does so graciously-- for free! I just think it would be so much better without the noise. (I noticed that I hear the background noises much more when I wear headphones than when I listen on a car stereo system. With the car stereo, I can turn the treble down so the high frequency background noises are not so bothersome (i.e., the sniffing, shuffling around, writing, etc.)

Blessings from Newfoundland, Canada! Listening to this video for the first time and being blessed as I am by all the others that you have done. Just feel sometimes like listening non stop! Re the comments on background noise so far there is nothing that I have noticed-only heavenly music played so gracefully and in the spirit of worship. Looking forward to listening to more from the archives and am delighted to now catch you on live recording!
