@@ender7278 It's hard to argue that, considering what they later did for both P2 games (remixes for pretty much every theme in the game _and_ you can swap to the original themes if you want) and the fact this game came out at a time when the PSP already had a few years under its belt. It was definitely possible for P1 too, there's reason to believe that what they did to the music in the remake was a deliberate choice. To be honest, imo Lone Prayer kinda matches the context of the awakening cutscenes, and this is coming from someone who likes the original battle theme more. It's just a shame that this had to be cut for it...

I wish there was a patch for the PS1 version that fixed the localization. I know a patch exists that gives the PSP version its older music, which I have been using, but it doesn't include every track. And it especially doesn't have this one. Awakenings don't feel as good with just the regular battle theme.

What i decided to do is go through SQQ and SEBEC branches with PSP OST, do a rerun of SQQ with that rom-hack and then just play the revelations on ps1. Might sound complicated, but hey, that way I'll get the fullest experience out of both OST's.

Correction: the PS1 Japanese version with an English translation. The English localization team made many mistakes on the official English PS1 release. Even more than just text errors.

As someone who is just now playing Persona 1 for the first time (PSP version), I did sort of find it strange that there wasn't an awakening battle theme, yet I never really questioned it because I was more surprised by how the awakenings didn't feel all that special. Just "oh hey I got a persona". Then again, A Lone Prayer is amazing enough on its own!
