I brought my OG PSE Xbedite after watching you do your video of it. Still one of the best bows out there. Might buy a PSE Omen this year. Social media posts have nothing to do with it. It's a solid brand that gives solid performance. Great customer care. They once sent me the wrong limbs for a bow. I emailed them and one hour later they had refunded me the money. And sent me the right set of limbs plus brand new cams plus brand new strings. They arrived in two days to me in the UK from the US. That's why I buy PSE. Not if Dudley shoots one or not.

The reason I have a PSE on order right now is because I got to shoot one shortly after I bought my Invicta last year and absolutely loved the way it felt. I’d been struggling with whether it was worth changing, then I got to shoot the Shootdown and Dominator DUO at Vegas and decided I needed to make the change to a lower draw weight Dominator.

I think it will take a while for their social media and other marketing campaigns to pay off with increased sales. If they continue and also release good products this fall with good improvements then I think sales could go up. I didn’t even consider a PSE previously… now I would shoot one when deciding which bow to get. Branding definitely sells product - Mathews has mastered that.

Pretty sure my hoyt dealer has one of the Vectrix bow awards. I still have my Vectrix XL and its still the smoothest bow I have ever owned. No its not the fastest. Its about 15 fps slower than today’s bows including my Elite Remedy. But butter smooth. Quiet and vibration free. Pretty good considering its about 16 yrs old. Im looking at getting a PSE Mach 34. And the only reason Im considering a PSE is Steven. People like Steven are a blessing to the entire archery world. Hey Steven you should start an archery teaching lessons. Maybe start with a new archer and teach them from the ground up. Choosing a bow and bow fitment to set up and then on to form. I know you would do it perfectly.

Owner of a 2019 Shootdown. I love it. My draw length changed by 1/2" after some coaching. No issue with Evolve cam. Other shooters at my club have changed mods and cams and bows at least twice since I got my Shootdown. As long as you've got a well put together now, coaching is what makes a good archer. I know from experience a different badge on each bow makes very little difference

Really 1 to 1?? Weird ....the current exchange rate today is £1 is worth $1.26 US. That's not 1 to 1 at all. What dealers do in Britain is charge the same price in pounds that a bow is sold in the US in dollars. The major rise in cost is shipping.

bought a new old stock PSE recurve riser they had that was made by Kaya for PSE. the long rod stabilizer bushing was not parallel to the center line of the riser which made tuning a frustrating process. Unfortunately When I wrote PSE they had no recourse or suggestions to offer. I got the riser as a clearance item so the seller had no resolution for me either. This is a problem reselling products they did not make as a PSE, That was obviously under the previous ownership

I really hope this new PSE owner continues to innovate their target series. I understand that hunting bows make the most money.... but there is a definite positive effect to having some of the best pro target shooters representing their brand using a flagship target bow. The evolve cam system is great and was years ahead of its time when it first came out. It still holds it owns against the best competition out there. What I would like to see from PSE is some new riser designs moving towards a more parallel limb style....(i.e, the new shootdown pro is more parallel than the other target bows) . I looove the look of the new shootdown Pro...the only thing I cannot wrap my head around is the 4 holes in the front of the riser for a picatinny mount. At 36 ATA it really is not a true crossover... it is a target bow. It is listed in their target line-up ... at the very least they should make an option to have a riser without those holes.... no target archer I know would ever use those. It looks like some weird Dudley influence. Besides that, the bow looks totally KILLER.... I have shot PSE since getting into target archery in 2016 shooting the Supra. (I used a bowtech to hunt with growing up, but they had nothing substantial in the target scene around 2016 to offer at the time... but, boy how things have changed on that front ;) .... that said, when the evolve cam came out, it was amazing feeling, so I got a perform X and evolve 35, which I still have both.... My father was also using PSE target bows, and just this year got an elite verdict. Once i shot it, I was flooored at how dead in the hand, quiet, and smooth the shot felt. Draw wise, the evolve cam was every bit as good, but the shot on that verdict felt SO smooth.... not long after, I won a mathews trx38 G2... never thought much of mathews, but shot it and felt the same thing as the verdict .... dead in hand on the shot, quiet, and smooth. The draw cycle felt equally as smooth as my PSE's ( I shoot 70-75%) .... and both the verdict and TRX have a parallel limb design.... I never realized just how much vibration and feedback the PSE's had. Having only shot PSE target bows, I guess I got so used to it... The only thing the PSE's have over the verdict and TRX is speed. The PSE's are quickk.... The next thing PSE needs to get locked down is their cable slide.... it changes every year it seems.... next thing I would say is make a grip that can be changed if the shooter wants to. Their new shim system seems fine and a MUCH appreciated upgrade.... I hated having to strip the bow right down and relax the limbs just to change shims.... (yes, i tried to do it in the press once and it resulted in a crack) .... anyways, that's my rant.... I really want to see PSE continue to succeed.... IMO, the target line-up should keep the shootdown pro, just get rid of the stupid front riser holes.... Keep the supra namesake, but start fresh with something in closer resemblance to the shootdown, just maybe in a 38" ATA .... the dominator DUO looks okay... but the right hand/left hand capability is not worth it. A bows grip should be made for ONE type of shooter whether it be left or right hand. I get the concept, but I think its a hinderance, not a feature..... and, again I will say this. Find a cable slide system that works well and LEAVE IT alone. The number of cable slide systems they have had in the last 7 years is plain crazy.... I hope to see PSE continue to be one of the premiere bow makers out there... speaking only of their target bows....If they keep their speed, and get the vibration and noise down, they will be killller.

lol, no, he is not the best thing to happen to PSE. He is neutral at best in terms of his influence in their bow engineering. From a marketing standpoint.... sure, he is good to have promoting PSE.... but he has influenced PSE to make some stupid decisions. The most recent one that was clearly dudley influenced is that the new PSE shootdown Pro has 4 holes drilled in the front of the riser to fit a picatinny mount..... It is a target bow.... it walks the line of being a hybrid bow since it is capable to be hunted with.... but a 36 ATA is a target bow.... I have yet to see a single person actually using a picatinny mount on that bow. The bow is listed in their "target series" line-up .... but target bows do not have that crap, and won't until a company makes a really good target sight to mount to a rail..... aside from that, the bow looks damn impressive. I really hope this new PSE owner continues to innovate their target series. I understand that hunting bows make the most money.... but there is a definite positive effect to having some of the best pro target shooters representing their brand using a flagship target bow. Hoyt and Easton will never give me a dealership. I have asked endless times and offered hundreds of thousands of dollars in an up front order. It is an interesting company. I am going to do a video shortly on Easton and the fall of the brand in my eyes over the years. When I was in Canberra I was the only store, I sold 5 million a year I was running TV and radio ads and I could not get Hoyt or Easton. I think in Australia there is very little in stock which is good for me and the Hoyt Easton dealers in Australia are more interested in promoting and selling brands I sell than promoting Hoyt and Easton. But it has been good for me. Last thing you I would want is large Hoyt/Easton store competing.

Interesting - Canada had an exclusive distributor it now goes direct to stores so 200+ stores should be buying from PSE direct. Certainly it would be interesting to ask why they are not carrying the line. Some other brands wont allow you to stock other brands. So if you stocked PSE then you may loose one or more of your existing brands.

The PSE embark is amazingly smooth and easy to set up and I put that bow through some crap we have really dense bush here and I was just hanking that bow through the bush break branches that got stuck in it and there is not a mark about the only thing bad and it's not a big deal is the draw stops the little rubber thingys one came off I just took the other one off and it feels the same and shoots the same but that's the only thing I would change.👍🏼🤠

I’m not really sure what to think. Seems like they shot gunned the first Nock On series and haven’t really recovered. Mid year drops… I like my Omen, but then updated/changed it 6 months later?? I suppose I like that (if true) it is the only carbon bow made in the US, but I don’t shoot carbon bows yet, so that aspect doesn’t really apply to me. I say that knowing each brand it seems has a budget line or some relationship with parts or bows made “overseas.” That having been said, the Evolve cam was what got me into the PSE line, and that was a Darton patent I believe, anyhow.

Never bought a bow based off instagram or tiktok posts. Never will. At the very least it would be from YT reviews where the bow in question is being shot, top level archers shooting that bow and most importantly decent shooters that I know recommending that bow after shooting it themselves for sometime. Then I want the dealer to have a demo version to at least draw the thing. Car dealers let you take autos worth 10,000s of thousands for a test drive but in the archery the bows in some shops are behind the counter, look but don't touch. I wont spend £1,600 on a bare bow that I m not even allowed to pull back even once.

Yes a bow needs to perform really well but looks are a big thing to me. I would not own a good shooting ugly bow lol. It would be nice all industries would focus more in quality, durability and product innovation than just marketing and selling, selling, selling. That alone would sell more. Also i find that the prices don't really reflect the quality of products, meaning I can have a bow that is the same as another yet they are priced differently just because one brand is "the expensive" brand and the other, the "cheaper" brand. Although there may be difference in materials or other variables, sometimes they are just the same and (even using the same components produced by a common probider) so the price is more related to "social/economic class" and not quality/material related and that in the 21st century is a shame for those who call themselves "humans".

So does Mathews and Hoyt.

@@13F4HQ8 Yeah? I'm pretty sure Matthews has basically had the same design and cam since before the Halon series. Hoyt after years and years of sticking to the "cam and a half" hybrid system went to a binary because every other bow company had done so. They had shooters leaving in droves a few years back. The PSE X Force completely changed the direction for bows. Meanwhile, Hoyt and Matthews sponsored the most shooters and bought the most advertising. The Evolve cam (granted it's a Darton design) also influenced the entire industry. PSE and Bowtech are the two companies that take big chances and advance the game, imo. Matthews and Hoyt spend their money on marketing and pro staff.

I could not care less who is promoting or representing a product. A person who is being paid to have their name on a product is not going to give an honest, unbiased appraisal of that product. Same goes for a person who is paid or given a discount to use a product. they'll use whatever they're given to use. My biggest concern is build quality, ease of operation, and whether it works for me.

I think you've described a lot of the archery influencers on Instagram (particularly hunters). Seems like they all use the same bows and accessories and always do these "gear dump" where the brand name is very noticeable. Archery is a very gear dependent sport so I'm not surprised many archers rush in order to get sponsorships to alleviate the cost.

@@enrique6335 agreed. There are not a whole lot of reviewers that are objective. As much as it sucks to pay for price for gear, I think there's some equity in being a reviewer and being able to say that nobody owns you.

The only two bows in the PSE lineup worth anything is the Mach 34 since they dropped the EVO platform for the 2023 lineup. ANYthing with a NockOn logo is overpriced trash to pay "Dudfees", just look at what you get for all the extra money so it has the NockOn logo smh. But something tells me he had something to do with the EVO being discontinued as more of his labeled trash is on the site now then before and others platforms are gone now. PSE has gone to shit, they have the carbon bow and the Supra target platform, but everything else is just overpriced for what you get, especially when you watch the changes that John makes to the factory builds....why does he need to show people to switch the cables around on the pulley, why doesn't it just COME THAT WAY? All the tweaks and mods need to be done to make them better when half the "mods" are just switching factory things around not out. just build it that way, if not, why SHOULD it be done? You don't see Mathews, Elite, or Bowtech pros showing you that you need to switch the cables around in the bow, cange systems or re-rig the bow to make it shoot better because they have already done all that for you. My first bow was a PSE, and I really wanted that EVO, still might buy a used one sometime soon as it is a great shooter, but again, with changes and tweaks to get it there, but having owned a Bowtech and currently owning a V3X 29, I can't imagine why anyone would want a PSE in today's market when it is charging more for less product in every way. Especially in the carbon market. The Hoyt carbon series absolutely destroys the Mach 34 and Carbon Levitate. I shot them side by side, the Carbon RX-7 is better in every way. Hell, the aluminum RX-7 is better then the Levitate. Just don't see the point in PSE today, in any way.

Listen John Dudley has taught me all kinds of stuff and he is great and amazing but he is never the best thing that happened to PSE Pete Shipley it's the best thing that ever happened to PSE and that's where everything went wrong right there when Pete sold the company I understand you wanted out of this and that was ready to be done stuff like going very good but you did it had a name to it from him and carried his name and that's how people do that company it was invited just Dubose it was because Pete Chipley head home good for 70 years

Problem with KZbin is it has given someone like you a soapbox. You say you don’t know a lot and looks like that the truth. Use to like your positive videos but please don’t just question things you don’t really know.
