one thing to grasp about Perry is that guy was on a quest- for experiences for drugs for sex for life for music for connection. maybe thats why psi com was a one and done- guy wanted to go harder perhaps. i really dig psi com dont get me wrong. especially if i was getting ready to go out to the goth club. the difference tho is that psi com is this gothy post punk band and JA is to me, a los angeles psychedelic punk rock band with a metal guitarist who came around to love and rockets and the cure while playing w eric and perry. daves tones change and find color. hes so much better than either a hair metal guitarist or just a run of the mill punk chord changer. and eric lays down a deeper dubbier druggier harder foundation that psi com. really the unit of janes is all this post punk influence along with bowie and 70s rock and zeppelin as well as fishbone and bad brains and siouxsie and joy division and thats why they rule so hard.

Jane's Addiction is heavy metal! This sounds a mixture of Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy and Siouxsie and the banshees.

Crazy, Im just hearing this for my first time. Saw Janes in 91, pornos, etc, but never heard of this. Its good, would be cool if Janes covered one of these songs now. Strange theres only 431 views, thats thousands too little. First song's riff reminds me of killing joke.

The guitarist was working with a record company (American records I think) and was here in Nashville for this band they signed. Anyway, we got to talking and he said he was from silver lake and I jokingly asked how Perry was doing and he said he use to be in a band with him and I asked if it was Psi Com and he was like no way you heard of us!? I was like bro, I love you guys! And I sung the lyrics to city of 9 gates and he gave me like 100$ for that. He was sort of a record company grease ball but still was a great experience.

First thoughts are Bauhaus and Siouxie banshees. Prefer Jane's Addiction as the band are funkier and Farells vocal echoplex and multiple layers just adds a huge wall of sound. This is great though.

This is like Siouxie meets Bauhaus. Great kinda obscure goth release! Even less people would know of it if Perry didn't become famous later. I also did find this because of Jane's, who are one of my favorite bands. I love the very different Perry vocals here, and that bass tone is awesome.

I was lead here by Aaron Shear. It's a beautiful moment in a family's finite footing on the earth to be let into ones past, and learn of the gems that time often suppresses. Thank you Aaron. I too am shocked by the lack of appreciation... my opinion is not to make waves, but if all thats is truth probably sown from Alpha to a quick egressing of Omega ; after a harvests reaping, Mr. Ferrell's work peaked and dissolves after the music of psi com. But I guess that is what he wanted apparently "he makes a great pet". I just wish there was more.

An up tempo The Cure with a more metal New Wave sound... Not bad, but I really prefer Jane's Addiction.
