You know it was heavily implied in Awakening that this dude was a well intentioned extermist who wanted the wardens to get involved in politics in order to prepare the world for the blight. Now he is just a stupid man.

My HOF would have put this mf in his place. The entire Weisshaupt storyline could have been greatly improve with references to HOF if they’re both living or dead. A alive HOF could have played a part in the story in the south by mentioning that he/she is helping Ferelden dealing with the blight and if your warden was dead they could have shown us their tomb where they are buried. The greatest Warden in recent history doesn’t get a single mention at a time about archdemons and blights is so disappointing. If Bioware really wanted to not mention Hof or Hawke the least they could have done is said that Hof was helping rally Ferelden and that Hawke was with Aveline rallying the Free Marches, it could have tied all the games together

The consequence for the First Warden comes but on a side quest, if you convince him he’ll give you information. He lives but not long. Sorry I didn’t get to put in this video, but I’ll upload it on a separate video.

Ya know, from 10:50 for just about a minute we can see a little bit of the old dragon age and wardens slip through, even the start of the first warden getting ready to kill the archdemon was getting there. Then the game has to go. "Nope, this aint that type of game. Here's the next big bad." Seriously, if the writer knew how to put a bit mkre pacing and tone into work, they would have made something really good. Just think, the first warden kills the archdemon and sacrfices himself the wardens take some time to reorganize and mourn the loss of the first warden, THEN the elfven god comes in and tampers with the blight changing and reawakening the archdemon. It gives us veteran DA players ankther reason to get invested in the narrative while also raising the tension as now we dont know how to win this blight the traditional way, and for the newer players it gives a cool spectacle while also establishing something us veterans know from the OG dragon age, that the wardens are badass.

The Hero of Fereldan is likely the highest rank warden in Fereldan, but has never been in charge of the whole organization. Hawke isn't even a warden at all.

I havent played this game or watched playtroughs. Were any plot threads that were set up in awakening 2 or inquisition about wardens was resolved? Split about working with the architect. Nathaniel investigateing red lyrium thaig, Hero of Ferelden searching for a cure, or the whole civil war with hawke/warden ally from inq. And did any choiches the player made during regarding theese plotpoints made a difference in this game ?

No man. Litterally the only things that ported over were who your inqusitor romance, whether the inquisition was disbanded or not and if the inquisitor promised to save or stop solas. Litterally nothing from previous games is even talked about. No mention of Hawke from Varric or Isabela (she’s in there) or any mention about the HOF and Kieran from Morrigan even jf you romanced her

This guy is too cartoonishly stupid for it to be believable. This guy is outright ignoring everything, every report, world events, even the things literally outside his window. You can't just become a leader and military commander of the grey wardens if you are that dumb. I bet the writers have no clue, what it means to be the high-ranking military officer. Such people can make mistakes now and then, but they are all smart, without exception. They can be overconfident, they can make the wrong assumptions, but not to such degree. This is what happens, when the writer is the person with poor knowledge of outside world, when he is not talented and sociopath, with serious communicative issues.

This would’ve been a good opportunity to have Hero of Fereldan appear instead they just keep making the the Grey Wardens look incompetent and stupid now grant it even if the First Warden is near the “end of his duty” (the calling) there would’ve others within the order making sure they didn’t repeat the events of DA:I especially when this dude is incredibly irrational and has been wrong several times for the sake of plot. (Though it’s asking a bit since the developers seemed to have changed/revisioned the lore that’s been presented previously.

I personally can't see any hype for it at all. Never mind the politics people want to bring into this, the gameplay and story have just veered too far from its roots. The game is now just a GOW reskin with no tactics involved anymore. A far cry from the rest of its line, and now it's a simple hack and slash. The story just keeps getting more jumbled with each passing game and is no longer recognizable. The game would be better had the developers just admitted they were going for a soft reboot of the series because they don't know how to handle the vast storyline the series has built upon. They even could've taken the Neir approach and pick an ending to call canon. There's just too much to account for now and too many decisions to carry over for them to bring a proper, cohesive story. Veilguard should've been a standalone title and I imagine with a few tweaks to the story, the game would've definitely been good. That doesn't matter now, though. Instead, the fans got decent gameplay and a lackluster story after a decade of waiting with not much to show for that time. And by the looks of the "secret ending," they're not done yet, unfortunately.

What? No not even close. This is by far the worst dragon age of the series. No real choices about companions, forced cringe conversations. Dialogue is the worst the series has seen, action combat that doesn’t change after the first 6th of the game (to the point people dropped the difficulty just to finish it), character models that look like disney/pixar cutouts, no agency, and NO consideration of past decisions outside trespasser. This is the absolute worst game in the entire series. It may very well be one of the worst RPG’s in the last 5 years.

The story is…. Flawed. Like in story I’d put this in the very bottom of the list but just above the mobile games. The character creation (the face and hair only, sadly the body sliders leaves more to be desired) is great and the combat is a nice change except that it feels less team oriented but it does look nice. Overall I’d say the game is a 6/10. Bad story, cringe dialogue at times, pretty good gameplay, and impressive graphics but seemingly off colors for a “dark fantasy”. Also the companion characters feel off. They don’t feel like dragon age companions where they all come from different walks of life in their universe.

@@leoregulus5842 The game is OK as a standalone experience, but as a Dragon Age game, it's easily the worst in the series I would say. For me this is due to the twee art style and tone, poor dialogue and story, lack of importing world states, and lack of any kind of tactical strategy gameplay. The three previous games were better in all of these things.
