The PSP Go is the only official console that allows you to pause the game. Similar to how save states work.

I didn’t notice the different too much with PlayStation but with the genesis, the difference is quite significant. Very well explained

Thanks! Glad it came across in the video. The S-Video cable definitely looks great IMHO👍But the RF of the Genesis sure can be murky compared to the Component. In fairness, RF is generally all we knew growing up so there's still nostalgia for it 😊

Cool video! Honestly I had no idea you could even connect the PSP to your TV. I was a kid then so I didn't really dig deeper into that. I had the 2000 model and from the research I did it seems like it used a different type of component cable but I guess it did the same thing. Unfortunately my PSP stopped working years ago but this would have been fun to play on my TV then. Thanks for sharing this though! If I get another someday I may try this out.

Thanks! I have a series of videos connecting the PSP Go to an HDTV, using the cradle dock and even connecting the PSP Go to a PS3 controller via Bluetooth! And I do have the component cable for the PSP 2000 & 3000 series, I'll do a video on it soon too 😊 Always appreciate you watching 👍

@@SvennyMcG Very cool! I'll have to look for those other videos. I appreciate these kinds of videos because it's showing off some cool features of various systems that I wouldn't have thought of using before.

This test would be more controlled if you used a switcher running the PS1 and PSP through it both on component but still a cool comparison
@tgamer91592 жыл бұрын
Of course you would have to run the PS1 on RGB through a component transcoder to get component I forgot PS1 only supports RGB not component of course you could use a PS2 through backwards compatibility and use PS2 component cables
@SvennyMcG2 жыл бұрын
You're correct, it's not exactly 1:1 here but I felt it still showcased a good portion of the PSP, including its capabilities to play other roms like the Genesis 👍 Thanks for watching

You should try this with the PS2 composite vs component

For which, PSP play or Genesis? When you're in settings go to view and change the view from 16:9 to 4:3

Genesis on PSP go looks to be using 480i not 240p. I use an Axunworks SCART to S-video device to make my Genesis's better video compatible with a US TV but even then I'd much prefer just using composite to running in 480i.

I don't have an output to read at this time but it is notably cleaner anyhow 👍
@pesadeloperiferico7731 Жыл бұрын
how do you set the genesis emulator for 240p? Since it's a iso file, doesn't it lauch in 480i like a psp game?

And unfortunalely my sega genesis has a lot of trouble detecting the input of the c button that’s really a annoying problem for me do you have a solution to resolve that i think cleaning the port of the controller would be the solution🤙
@SvennyMcG2 жыл бұрын
In many cases like that it could be the pad underneath the button needs a cleaning, meaning you may need to go into it. I haven't yet made a video cleaning a Genesis controller but I have a video cleaning an SNES one and the process is similar kzbin.info/www/bejne/poWch5h8rJhka5o
