Just want to say that this video is more useful to me than all the reviews I've read. In all the reviews they talk about specs and how the headset having a cord is bad and stuff but you talk about how immersive the experience is. How much more the game pulls you in, the small details like being able to feel the environment around you or how useful eyetracking is.

I'm tired of the cord complaint. One really long cord is a really good trade off for having the power of the ps5. As of now, we can't get amazing vr experiences wirelessly...I mean we can, but the power difference between a pc/ps5 and a cell phone chip is pretty big.

The creep is happening because of usb compression, no matter how good your pc is its still limited by usb. Normal headsets without compression(like any headset other than the quest,quest 2) dont have the black creep.

Yeah, I didn't know what he was talking about. Vive Pro's been out since 2018 with full DisplayPort 1.2 bandwidth, and the nose-grommet with removeable face-padding eliminated all light. The vive wands and the headset's fresnel lenses are garbage though. I'd be interested in hearing what he's been using this whole time. PSVR2 almost has the res of a Pro 2, but it's OLED, adds the eye tracking like Pro Eye had, and comes with superior, valve-esque controllers which look sick. I hope we can make an openVR driver for this headset and just use it on PC. My country didn't get the Index til late 2021, so if I was to upgrade, this looks like a much cleaner package.

Love my psvr 2, coming from a nice PC and a quest 2. Console VR has a big advantage over PCVR. Software and hardware specific optimization has been huge. The games just work and run amazing instantly all the time.

I play my PS5 less than 40 hours per year. 22 hours played in 2022. That being said, my PS5 is gently used. However, playing “Horizon: Call of the mountain” caused my PS5 to brick mid game twice. Maybe “brick” means PS5 never turns back and is completely broken but if I keep playing this game I’m sure one time it may never turn back on. Twice it did this and took 5 minutes to power back up. It doesn’t happen with other VR games, only Horizon. PlayStation, I want my money back for that game bc I’ll never play it again! This serves as a warning to others buying a VR!

The black bar explanation: It has nothing to do with the preformance of your PC (for the most part). It's a compression artefact, where the frame was not yet loaded on the headset. And this applies to Link and AirLink due to the way Quest 2 USB-C is wired. And saddly there is no workaround in the software. It bugs me too, but guess I'll just have to wait till some

The game was running that well because of foveated rendering. You didn't notice it probably but the game was actually being rendered in a very low resolution and is rendered in high resolution wherever you're looking thanks to the eye tracking.

its cool and all and seems pretty nice but ultimately its still proprietary tech. so most likely ill never have it unless i at some point get some deep pockets. needing to get a rare ps5 then the vr on top of that and the games on top of that. with vr still having the vast majority on pc. then the standalone quest, but still within the pcvr space of games and such. i still have my eyes set on a valve index so thats most likely where my vr path and journey would go towards. and im still very much a pc gamer. im not getting a console for exclusivities. its just not worth it for me and a lot of other pc gamers. but otherwise, i love u habie
