Hi Devon- great question! For sure dignity is important, so you can cover up the patient with a blanket until the nursing assessment is complete (after the fall). Sometimes the force of a fall can trigger trauma and lead to one having a bowel movement. Once done, you can go and assist the patient with bathing and dressing. Also inform housekeeping to clean up the feces as this may be a falls risk for other residents, as well not not a clean area for all. Hope this helps!
