I had a lot of fun with this game and beat it in 1 sitting. It sucks that when you encounter enemies all you have to do is hide and then it shows the enemy walk by and they despawn when you come out. Takes a lot of suspense out 🤨

From what I've heard, the ending depends on what you do immediately after the first hiding sequence in the reference room. However, looking into it I noticed that there are two versions of the game: ...Iru! from 1998, and ...Iru! (The Best Takaramono) from 1999. I haven't played the latter so I don't know if the endings are any different, but I suspect it might be the most likely explanation.
