Just two days ago, my ex boyfriend told me that he doesn't have feelings for me anymore, and I didn't see it coming at all. I was still in love and trying my best to improve the relationship. I begged him to stay at first, until I realised that there's no purpose of being with someone that stays out of pity. I believe that I'll be alright; because I'm surrounded by people I love, and it really helps to talk to them about it. One day I'll find someone that's right for me, but for now, i'm gonna focus on taking care of myself ❤️

I hope you are doing well. Something like that happened to me and I was destroyed for like over 1.5 years. Then I picked myself up and started moving forward only to have that ex come back lol But throughout, I learned the same thing. If someone truly loved me, it wouldn't have taken someone to leave me for so long to figure this out! For him, it just was grass wasn't greener on the other side & for me, I am in a relationship with a friend of a friend who really got me through my dark period. Long story short, the moment you realize your worth and stop begging, you make room for someone who sees your worth to come into your life. So I hope you will find someone who can love you right and who is right for yoi.

I suffer from Major Depressive Disorder, ADHD, and Anxiety and I find that sometimes watching these videos makes me feel like I start looking for all the wrong in my relationships with people. Anyone else feel that way? I feel like after watching so many of these, I just become more paranoid and 'omg is that how I am/we are too?' All I know is this: Life is a constant struggle and I've been through a lot with the people in my life. But it's the fact that we come together and not give up on each other that makes us strong. It's so easy to just say, 'This isn't working out' and remove yourself. But to remember the good and keep in mind There is NO set rulebook for living life, forgiveness and learning to keep being there for each other even when you feel weak, THAT takes strength. You can grow together if you actually remember to be present and forgiving. Live what feels right for YOU, not what others tell you what should be. Because at the end of the day, every single one of us is just trying to figure this life thing out. Every single one. No one is perfect.

thats true, but sometimes (and i mean most cases) admitting that it isnt working and detaching yourself from that situation really is the right thing to do
@JSRF4202 жыл бұрын
Oof, you hit me right in the ADHD. There really is no set rule book. There are ways of two people carrying themselves in a relationship between them. There are hard lines that cross into abuse and other traits. But above that are lines that are in similar hues when two people must come together to really define what they both are okay with and how they handle it. If both parties actively work on that together however it works for them, then that is really what matters. Comparing to others will never work, and taking everyone else's opinions on how it should be done never helps either.

In my current relationship, now 4 years in, we've definitely had phases where we went through some of these mentioned. But we've worked through a lot together, and continue to grow and learn and support each other, I've been into psychology for 8 years, and convinced her to join my academy I'm in, she's now 3 years, so our arguments get... Deep and very complex lol, we both know a lot about each others subconscious patterns, which helps us support the other, but in times of heated arguments good god we can press each others buttons Moreno than anyone else either of us have been with hahaha. But at the end of the day when we cool off, we both take responsibility for the projections we've thrown at the other, and take responsibility for the our own patterns we played out in the other. She's genuinely the most loving and affectionate person I've ever been with by FAR! And I for her, although she's only been with one other person before me, I've been in 5 relationships before her, and had one/two off dates with about 20 other girls, so I know she's top tier on the market, and never take her for granted. ❤ Because of her lack of relationships and her perfectionism, she sometimes wonders if there's someone even more perfect than me for her out there, which I think is totally understandable and normal given her only being with one other guy her 30 years on this Earth lol. But she keeps coming back every once in a while saying "I saw another guy I found realky attractive today, and when I asked myself what I found attractive in him, it was all the same stuff I love about you, and think to myself, I already have all of that at home for me 😊" and gives me a hug. Which some people might take as an offense, but I find it really flattering. Because no matter what relationship you are in, you don't suddenly find other attractive people non attractive, every client I've had has admitted this to me, our teacher as well. It's totally normal human biology to find others attractive when you are already taken, and SO many people judge themselves for it and see it as a red flag, it's not, it's normal. The true red flag there is if you start falling in love with someone else, and/or find yourself chasing something with someone else. Not just simply finding someone else desirable.
@userm1802 жыл бұрын

My girl had very bad past related to her family and surrounding. A lot of people wanted to use her, or see her going completely mad. From moment when we decided to be together she changed in fantastic way. She don't think about suicide anymore, she stopped thinking about her depression or anxiety, her self confidence and love to herself grown imaginably strong and big and if there is any doubt she is always talking with me about everything. I understand her very well and i want to support her no matter what and be her private therapist. I'm not applying into her brain fake positive things. I always explain to her everything from good and bad side, and always want to show her reality of everything (consequences of good, and bad choices). It was very hard for her to understand that i want to help her and all the time when she felt overwhelmed. She rather wanted to close herself in room without no one and just be depressed and overthink instead of ask for help. Problem was that no one was really with her to listen to her problems, fears and she was always the one who wanted to listen to people rather than getting help. She often wanted to be around people with suicide thoughts and depression than around someone who really wanted to help her. She changed drastically now and she completely forgot about her planning her own death (yes she was planning it and as long she got used to this feeling, and felt comfortable she would do this). I'm so happy she changed so much and all the time i'm explaining to her how far she already went and how fast she evolved, and teared down this wall which she created from years. I understand this massive responsibility and i still want to help her without harming her. She is the reason why i started to learn about mental problems to understand her and being able to always help her/ give what she truly desires. Learn, be more understandable, be more patient, don't be afraid of your own feelings, don't be afraid of yourself! never do nothing against yourself, have rules and honor and always value them, be faithful, always be honest in good, polite way (don't mistake it with being mean! Words have power! Words are key to everything!). Evolve people! Be better version of yourself even if you will fail in something, don't let it get to you! Always try as many times as you need to achieve success!

My (now ex) fiance and I split up a few months ago after more than 5 years, but I feel that we're better friends than we ever have been now because we understood that we just weren't right for each other. We're still way too important to each other to be removed from our lives completely, and she's been my bestie for years anyways, so there's no way we couldn't make a bff-ship work. It was hard, but we're much happier now.

Thanks so much for this video!! I found it super helpful. My experience in a relationship has been very supportive and patient. My partner is someone who is an introvert and so finds it difficult to open up, but I use kind and gentle word to create a safe environment. Asking questions rather than demanding and not expecting results or a response straight away. I check on her day to day with spaces in between to breathe and if she would rather talk by text, then I accept her choice and adapt myself. She really appreciates this. Also, she does the same to me and this is what strengthens our relationships in times when it gets tough. Humans are like mirrors: you give them happiness, you get happiness back, but if you give them negativity, you get an argument and a sense of brokenness.

I'm not in a relationship yet, but something I've noticed whenever I meet someone new and we both talk about ourselves, I end up only caring about what I have to say about me, and not so much about what thay have to tell me. I unfortunately got this trait from my mother, who would always do that whenever she would talk to me. Thankfully I'm knowing that that's a problem, thanks to this video, and the next time I talk to someone, I'll be careful about my response and not change the subject.

ive been with someone for 19 months in total. we got together because i was helping him thru a break up. the more we hung out the more i loved being in his company. well i had my own trauma to deal with being over sexualized since childhood and its the only way i know. so in the beginning of our relationship i texted a couple of "male friends" thinking they were friends and they wanted pics stupid me obliged. idk boundaries, mine were crossed as a child so i never know whats completely right or wrong ina relationship. i owned up to my shit and apologized, gave him full access to everything of mine from emails to social media.. well when he found out he blew up so badly he hasnt talked or forgiven me after A whole year. til this day he hasnt talked but every time we argue he likes to blow it up in my face. well after i realized i loved him more than i realized and he "forgave" me. he made me realize those arent friends just men using the title. well for the past year hes been messaging women, adding insta hoes, liking their half naked pics on FB and IG. but if i post pics like they do he gets pissed and yells at me thinking im asking for the attention and how his "wife" shouldnt be posting these photos (im not his wife. hes trying to mold me into his ideal woman) i stopped and still am dealing with the consequences everyday, but i caught him so many times and when i call him out on it he blows my year ago bs and makes himself the victim. last night he goes "wow thanks for showing me you love me. i feel unloved" so i told him "you hurt me, you calling these other women beautiful, sexy or gorgeous but you also calling me that and these girls are all "baddie" types WHICH IM NOT!! you hurt me, why should i comfort you when you did me wrong this time?" then he goes then maybe i should send dick pics and texts other girls? how would you feel? all night (havent slept btw. been up since 6 am yesterday) i was writing out what he gives me in this relationship and what i have given him. You answered your own statement. Cause if you can't do it y should he, and of he keeps blowing up and throwing stuff in your face, his forgiveness is not from the heart. And it's time to move on to someone who makes you happy. When you truly forgive, you don't bring stuff back up. May God bless you

Do it as soon as possible! It’s better to take the rose colored glasses off now. you will have to face reality soon. Living arrangements, friends, leave behind new family, etc. and you will have to get back into your own every day life and learn to be with just you. It’s better to do it now you’ve already done so much for this person and you feel like he doesn’t do enough and treats you like shit! That’s so unexplainable. Want better for yourself and soon you will find peace within and better love will come sooner or later.

I'm passing by a breakup, from a 4 years relationship. Resuming, we were in a distant relationship, i was in avery busy routine of university and work, and she was stuck with his parents and work, trying to get in the university, but we get emotionally distant because of the lack of time and energy to express our love for each other, unfortunatally she expend more time thinging on it and dind't bring this topic on the conversation, that's why still upset and sad. This video made me understand more about why our relationship wasn't working anymore. And be aware of this, helps a lot to move on. Thanks for the video.

I just recently ended a very loving and caring relationship. We've known each other all our lives as he's my best friends' brother and things went well for a few months. It wasn't an easy decision but we weren't growing any longer even though we were rooting for and supporting each other. Also just like number 8 on the list, I was just like Blue, through and through. We're still friends but we need some space until we've both healed and feel comfortable being around each other again. 8 and 9 were extremely relatable.

I just broke up with my boyfriend of 6+ years just 2 days ago… I resonate with much of the points but it’s more complicated when it’s been long distance the whole time. I love him dearly… he’s just busy… a lot. But it reached a point I felt closer to everyone else in my life but him. We blamed distance but never set a time it would end. So I broke it off… I told him how I felt and he was supportive. I asked him if within 2 years I can find a way to meet him that I hope he’ll have coffee with me. Maybe I’m being selfish or maybe I copped out by setting this for myself but if not for the relationship I’m doing this for myself. At least this way we can grow apart and if it’s really meant to be it’ll work out- I’ve always wanted to take a trip to London alone anyways… I’m proud of myself for taking the risk and allowing us to grow this way- but I’d be lying if I said I could imagine any other future of mine without him in it. I know I’m selfish…

I think we should add to that list: They constantly make excuses to delay or avoid coming see you (especially on special occasions such as your birthday, or you inviting them to meet your family/friends). It could be made to sound like a sudden tragedy, accident, or inconvenience right when you are expecting them and they fail to upkeep their communication after days go by. But when you want to go see them or if they ask you to come see them, you drop everything…

Here’s the thing: my friendship/relationship? with this person is extremely weird. We both liked each other a few years ago, but at the time I wasn’t ready for anything serious. We kept in touch and he became my best friend, but I never fully let go of my crush on him. Now we work at different places and haven’t seen each other in six months. I told him that I still liked him a couple of months back, but he said that he’d have to meet in person to know how he felt for sure. Since then he’s made no effort to meet anywhere, and I’m too nervous because I’m extremely socially awkward and always get nervous around him. I don’t really know what to do, because sometimes it feels like we both like each other, and sometimes it feels like it’s completely one sided.

I watched this from the perspective of the one that was broken up with; I’ve moved on and tried to improve as a person way since then but I’ve never stopped wondering where exactly it all went south, and I got some ideas here where her and I began treating each other with complacency and a lack of meaningful communication that led to snowballing issues to the point it came falling apart Thanks for making this, it’s helped to put some things to rest in my mind after 4 years

There are other things I don't get that I know I could find in someone else who is just right for me. It's hard because I've never broken up with someone before. I had this one girl two years ago, and I wasn't really prepared to handle a relationship at that time, but I just was pretty invaded, I couldn't even express how I felt without an argument ensuing, so I tried to break it off and I couldn't no matter what. I had to break up with her in the sloppiest and worst way ever and just ghost her, just to prove I was done, I got with another person, cause I was unprepared, but I just wanted to be safe. Bottom line, trust your intuition, and don't be afraid to tell someone your truth, that's all that's important.

First reason she said I immediately agreed. I felt like I couldn’t be myself because he never liked whatever I did unless it was to just sit still and don’t do anything that includes interacting w anybody. Everything I did, it always gave me anxiety because I’d think, would he get mad at me for this? He always accused me of cheating no matter how faithful I was and when we finally broke up yesterday he still accused me one final time and it made me really upset. He’s been so manipulative and controlling like it’s really crazy and it all goes down to him being a really insecure person who never bothered to address it and overcome it.

Someone asked me if I felt traumatized from past relationships after posting a video on social media about people perceiving great treatment from their partner as a joke. I didn't say anything but I was going to answer yes. Yes, I am still traumatized and still struggle with healing from my past relationships, but this video helped me to acknowledge the behaviors witnessed in those past relationships and keeping an observant eye on any red flags (which were mentioned in the video) for the near future. I'm just super nervous to date again and probably won't do it for a long time, but I hope and pray for more reassurance and a great guy that crosses out all these red flags. Again, no one is perfect, but trauma is a serious thing that can be overcome with a little help every day.

I managed and cared for the relationship and him, like a parent for a child. I was stressed and I felt disrespected and not seen or valued. When we broke up I felt like a weight was lifted from me and I learned to be okay on my own with the help of my psy. 11 years. Married vor 7. We started this relationship just before I turned 17 and my parents hated them. It was just awful in the beginning. My friends wasnt really fond of them, but they didnt hated them straight up like my parents did. I was in love an knew about their bad past and a part of the traumas they went trough. So I sticked to them and my love grew every single day. But then I noticed, that I can not heal from my own traumas. Ptsd is horrifing but they have this as well … just for other reasons. I couldnt move forward. I was stagnant because deep down I knew, that when I grow, they wouldnt and I had to leave them behind. I didnt wanted that and I did more and more and even more, till my whole world … was them. I couldnt go out to meet friends, because I had lost so many … and because of the thought, that I would find someone else I think could be interesting. I denied the fact, that I should leave. I couldnt leave, even if I wanted to. All this hurt I would cause them. And then, last month, I finally decided to end this. They ruined 2 out of my 3 passions and the moment I realised this, I fled to my godfather, thought about it all and ended the relationship. They and I are still married. Its all fresh and we also still live in the same flat, just in diffrent rooms. And I feel SO much better. I dont have to try and fix things anymore. I dont need to pretend to care for their stuff. All these feelings of freedom, boredom etc are so new and exhausting. But I move again. I can live for myself, even in the same flat. They is a good person and the years we spent werent always bad. We just … grew apart. And I cant wait for my life to finally start again. Breaking up is the best decision I made in the last 8 years.
