Things that kill confidence: - Social inhibition - Negative thinning - Overthinking and doubting past actions - Caring too much about what other people think - Focusing on your securities instead of strengths

For the last three I can say that all of that is in your head. Once you move your thoughts to your body and what’s going on around you, you’ll see that everyone has those thoughts too. That means they are to worried about themselves to see what’s going on with you (in the things your worrying about)

I've always been jealous of charismatic people. When I was younger, I thought it was just something that happened to them and that I would never get it, but for the past few years I've been recognizing these traits and trying to use them. I still wouldn't say I'm charismatic, but I do feel like people enjoy talking to me more than before.

I grew up the youngest of 4. I always tried to make people laugh. But I had the worst stage fright. Anytime the light was on me my face turned into a tomato. I started doing drama class in middle school to try and overcome it. My teacher loved my acting and pushed me to do big roles. After that I learned how to improv and I worked retail and hospitality. Talked to so many people every day. I hate to say it but charisma is all about faking it but not faking it? It takes time to learn but you can make so many people's days once you understand it

Its more attractive if you be yourself. If that day you feel more reserved, then be so. If you feel more outgoing and playful, then be so. Don't fake things. But practicing these "how to be charismatic" skills would certainly help you in achieving personal goals to be a better person. You'll grow into your own kind of confident.

This comment should be higher! Yes. I have so many genuine relationships and connections with people who are not overly smiley/jokey or who don't take up a lot of space. It's just their nature and they're genuine people. I also have relationships with more outgoing people. Just be confident when speaking to others (NO ONE is better than you), be yourself and be honest about how you're feeling!

i’ve been having a hard time at school this week, im an extrovert and love talking with people, but i don’t have many friends, i do have anxiety which makes it a little harder to interact some times. i just played the sims today and my sim had the charismatic skill, it made me think about how i don’t have a lot of charisma and which is probably why i don’t have friends. it’s the 3rd week of school already and i have already made some first impressions, but i’m determined to build my charisma up and lower my anxiety, i hope my journey will be great

People never believe me when I say I am an introvert. What helped me become more outgoing in conversations is realizing that nobody knows wtf they're doing, everybody makes mistakes and we all just prefer to be at home and comfy. Be friendly, honest, don't take stuff personally and smile a lot. When you feel like you did sth cringey, laughing about it or simply apologizing helps. Also remember that people forget ~everything~. I sure as hell don't remember stuff others did that may haunt them forever so who honestly gives a damn if I drop sth or say sth cringeworthy. Life is too short to worry about social norms. Maybe some of this will help you feel more safe. If you keep doing it, you will eventually get used to it even though you will still prefer to be by yourself. An introvert is an introvert even if some of us are not shy

Personally I don't share personal infomation but let thr other person come away from the conversation being heard. I can give lots if infomation about others from what they shared because you've made them feel comfortable and heard, yet they can't say much about me. I think it really is listening to listen , genuine interest in others. Modesty. Confidence in posture and speech. Being or seeming self assured.beye contact and thoughtfulness. Well, for a quiet charm atleast.

@BuckBlaziken 5 ай бұрын
There’s two ways to be likable. Be someone who takes charge of the conversation, the one who initiates it, or make everyone feel included in your interactions with others… the other way is to be an active listener. People like to be listened to, no one likes being ignored. Always reply with something relative to them about yourself. You can build charisma through these two methods and it ends up working for first time impressions, or long term relationships. However it should be noted that both of these methods need confidence. If you’re nervous, the feeling of nervousness is contagious. This means have good self esteem and it’ll become noticeable in both your speech and appearance. You can boost your charisma by admitting to mistakes or making mistakes. The more mistakes you make the more human you appear to other people. Don’t be afraid of slipping up while talking, it can always be turned into a good laugh between you and the other person. This is how you become a likable and interesting person to other people.

1- set a playful tone: make an energetic and enthusiastic and positive first impression 2- have some funny, short, good stories on hand. Be confident & animated, use present tense with dynamic voices and utilize well-placed pauses. 3- be quick-witted. Think fast on your feet and look for a opening to engage in “banter” with people 4- BE REAL. Stay Genuine, open, and polite. Steer clear from politics/religion/divisive subjects. 5-SMIZE; Open body posture, lean in, nod, make eye contact, mimic their movements. Be “likable” and a GOOD listener. Ask deeper and open-ended questions. Be genuinely interested in learning more about them. *Always remember, PEOPLE LOVE TALKING ABOUT THEMSELVES!!!❤❤❤

I've been in the way of personal development since 2020 and I can say that this is the best channel in all of KZbin in terms of mental health. I've been struggling with the way I show my emotions and my emotions themselves. Sometimes I feel like I don't want to react and feel the way I do but I remind myself that it is totally fine to have some "indeseable" feelings. However, this topic of being charismatic and playful is one thing that I really want to improve in my life. I'm not a boring person (at least that's what I think) but I think I can improve my sense of humor and confidence. Especially because I don't have as many friends as I want to and I don't want to be that guy who can only talk to 3 persons and is disrespectful and basically had no idea on how to communicate to other people and be kind. I want to be kind, I want to make people laugh and I want to meet more people at the same time I enjoy being with them. So, (if you read this far you're crazy) I'll be working on all of this stuff and I'll try to be that guy. I hope you have a beautiful day and thanks to Psy2go for the life changing and helping content.❤

Edit: This is where I fall short. I'm mischevious and enjoy listening to people debate so sometimes I delibrately enjoy asking people about controversial subjects. This mischevious spark is also why most of my DnD characters are absolute jerks or extremely flirty. Heehee, I can use my wit and make people mad.

I wouldn't associate every charismatic person with being honest and genuine. Narcissists and Sociopaths are known to be particularly charming and charismatic with others and it's their false self.

They are charming because they are good at pretending they are genuine. The difference is: when you really are genuine you will attract people that are similar to you and recognize themselves in you
@Hoūr.i
@Hoūr.i 11 күн бұрын
I noticed that when people use tactics, it may work at first but it doesn’t really play well into their favor in the long run and sure it may get you many things but later on people will start to see a less genuine side of things and perceive you as fake or very confusing since you aren’t being natural or honest. You can come off as manipulative and can make it harder for people to see the real you. People who are natural and comfortable within themselves and show that to others by just having a quiet confidence may not be the first to attract attention, but later on people will find that kind of person attractive.

I feel like I'm more charismatic than most but definitely not a show stopper where ever I go. I've never had anyone "hate me" as far as I know. I'm an introvert so even tho I'm light and welcoming I drain easily and need breaks meaning I leave events pretty early. I'm cool with where I stand socially but I think I'd have double or triple the ammount of people in my circle if I could hang out longer and really solidify those connections.

I think if the current people in your circle are genuine, caring and kind and have your back,l then you’re not losing anything. I believe in quality over quantity. It’s a great sign people like you already, just be yourself 😀
