The best hug I ever received happened when I was fifteen. I was in choir, and it was the last concert of the year. Everyone was hugging each other and bidding farewells to each other. One hug I received came from a boy who was eighteen. He wrapped his arms around me and held me to his chest. He also told me in a warm tone of voice that he always wanted to hug me. This type of hug wasn't mentioned in the video.

I don't like being hugged or hugging others until we get to a certain point in our relationship, whatever that may be. When I was in college, a friend would always give me a hug when I saw her and it always made me feel like she was crossing boundaries. When I explained this to her, she was really surprised because she thought that there was nothing wrong with greeting friends with hugs, even people she wasn't especially close to. At that time, she felt mostly like an acquaintance to me. After a couple years she was really a friend (at which point we were also roommates), and we actually didn't hug unless we were going our separate ways for breaks from school.

I became a Master Mama Bear Hugger, lol, when I taught preschool and elementary school. Current and Former students would visit me and ACTUALLY request a hug, usually if they were having a bad day or stressful moment. They'd say, "School Mom, can I have a BIG hug? I really need it." No one was ever turned away. It was one of my favorite EXTRA teacher requirements. Another type of hug: The sad hug - both arms wrapped around the person but standing to the side of them. Whether its to comfort them or yourself it is the most common hug for comforting someone in a bad time. This type of hug is shared between all people, friends, couples, family members, etc. And doesnt display or relate to any specific romantic feelings. A warm comforting hug for the hard times in life.

My friend is going through a lot right now and sometimes at school she will just break down and cry. This made me want to share the most memorable hug I’ve had in my life so far. There was this time when all the stress I piled up crushed down on me and I hid away and cried at school, it took me a whole period to stop, but then when I was done and left my hiding spot my friend came from behind and hugged me, really tight, tears flowed down again. She never liked physical contact so the hug was extremely surprising, for a moment I felt pathetic, but then the next I felt warm and comfortable and everything would be alright. Soon a lot of my friends came and it became a group hug, we all just stood there and they hugged me while I cried some more. Now we’re in different countries and I miss them so much. Thank you for reminding me of this wonderful hug I shared with my wonderful friends I miss dearly.

i was waiting for another type of hug... the one you share with someone with indescribable need of physical contact and chemistry, when you just grab the person and hug/squeeze them real strong as if you wanted to melt into them and them into you. I've shared a few of these intense hugs with friends or lovers and they have always been my favorite. this hug is the most vulnerable, when you explicitly show to the person how much you need them and how much they mean to you, when you mutually lay yourself bare and let your guard down. but i guess it could be counted in the long hugs

@@Frede_Carla hello lovely people, thank you for showing interest in our story! well we still go to the same school. it's our last year in highschool and our last year being around eachother. at school i always stare at her whenever i see her but she avoids eye contact with me. I'm planning to try and get closer to her again, and i do have my ways on how to do that haha. firstly i have a book that she gave me back then and she told me I'd relate to the main character which i really do. i started reading the book again cause i never finished it, so i would give it back to her in hopes we could talk again. also the the same way i was close to her i was also close to her family. those people cared for me like i was their own daughter and i really love them for that. they even wanted to give me keys to their place. haha such lovely people. i still keep contact with her mom and im planning to meet her maybe in the next two weeks. I don't know how she feels about me anymore but i do feel that she might wanna talk to me again. romantic or platonic, the feelings were always there from both sides. if we start talking again im planning on telling her how i feel about her. my friends and brother really support me on this so i have nothing to lose.

Love the video, it's just reminds me about what hugs are. I moved to a different country, still have friends back where I was originally born, but sadly can't visit them due to situation. I'm capable of communications, literally with anyone actually, but I'm not too fond of going out or meeting someone. I had a lot of past traumas that are still affecting me. So, it is two years since I've got any hugs. I really feel touch-starved, and sadly can't do anything about it.
