Most of the japanese r stoics. They are rich but they live a simple life, Stocism to core, they feel good in other's pleasure. So just enjoy it :)

You have to ease it out very gently and let the gas out slowly

You need to open more bottles. The "Pop" is a fun thing to do in a private environment. But this is how it is supposed to be done.

Would a waiter taste the wine/champagne for the customer? Normally its the customers job to do it?

It’s done by major restaurants selling expensive wines. If the bottle has any problem, the sommelier detects it and replaces the bottle to maintain a perfect experience for the customer.

The pause between pours would be to let the customer try the wine before he pours an entire glass

You keep the towel in armpit. It's not impolite and clean. If your armpits have bad smell, it's unlucky for customers.

he''s not a professional sommelier cuz he should've poured more amount of champagne in a bit when tasting. Pouring like that won't get the real taste, but he will just drink the foam of it.

He's not tasting, he check's for a corky taste only.
