CBT is amazing. It definitely helps overturn deeply entrenched habits and thought processes, and digs down deep into your heart and mind. When a person starts asking themselves the hard questions, and they really want to figure out how to improve, it’s like an overhaul of your entire disposition towards life. It definitely has helped me be less emotional and more rational and balanced when things happen. Being able to see the shades of grey in a situation is really useful.

You are such a fine doctor, Dr. Mike. I think it’s wonderful that you do some CBT in your office with patients. I find in my neuro practice I spend more time encouraging patients to seek out psychiatric care and counseling. Mental health treatment is so lacking in this country and there still needs to be more emphasis on treating mental health.

Hi Dr Mike, I love your content. Thank you for making CBT and mental health part of your channels. I am wondering if you could get a practicing therapist for another video, to discuss CBT and other modalities like ACT and DBT? As a psychologist I know CBT can be effective for some, but not all, it’s be great to open up that conversation. Thanks! Hannah

I’ve used CBT on myself to help me try to overcome lifelong issues with swimming pools and it’s absolutely amazing! Granted some of my issues stem from sensory processing disorder thus will never truly go away but the parts that were tied to a near accidental drowning incident as a toddler when I tripped and fell in a pool I was walking past with my mom have come leaps and bounds from where they used to be thanks to CBT.

Im reading Martin Seligman book Flourish and I do one of his exercices everyday - it´s called 3 good things that happen today and why, I write the journal where I try to find at least 3 good things that happen during the day and usualy Im lucky to find more then 3 😊 maybe it´s sounds simple but it really has a positive impact on me

CBT seems so good because you can really find some things that could be causing stress/anxiety in your life that you don't even realise!

Man wants to replace discernment with psychology. We should ALWAYS be dividing good and evil. There is never anything in between.

If you take CBT as standing for an obscure sexual team, this clip becomes more than hilarious. You're welcome.
