Now this is a zero regret preorder for me. Psychonauts pushed the limits of how videogames could use environmental storytelling and talk about serious subjects like mental health, and it's just pretty damn exciting to see that the same standard of excellence has been maintained for a game that has quite a bit more meat (metaphorically - nothing's topping the Meat Circus for actual meat) than one day and one night at Camp Whispering Rock could fit. Oh, and puns, naturally. The horrible, horrible, glorious puns. I've been dying for the *style* of early 2000s action platformers to return, and... We got it. Finally.

I would like a platformer renaissance +MrMattyPlays! There are classics that deserve more attention via remaster like The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters, Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time, Voodoo Vince, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger games , older Tomb Raider games(1997-2008), Prince of Persia games etc.

bobs bottles is one of their most poignant levels. the soundtrack sets the mood every friggin time. and that level is so sad and nasty but also beautiful at the same time. themes of alcoholism and depression and neglect and fear. this game makes it ok that there was never banjo threeie no cap.

No surprise here. Double fine are a great studio and the first game was one of the best of that gen. Happy to finally have a sequel and that people get to enjoy a great studios work.

I had no nostalgia for the first game. I played the first one for the first time the day the sequel came out. And by now, I've 100% completed both of them. The first is still an amazing game to this day and the sequel perfectly fits right alongside it and is also a masterpiece if I do say so. This game had me smiling from ear to ear the whole time playing. Without a doubt this is my Game of the Year so far (and I don't really see anything else being able to top it from what we know is coming out this year)

The first game hit me in a special way. I'm not sure how many people realized how they dealt with mental health issues. It was a wonderful experience and gave me an opportunity to look at myself in a different perspective. 😍

I'm of a similar mindset as you. Sometimes I need something like a 3D platformer that gives me a break from the RPG and FPS grind. Definitely a positive they didn't feel the need to rush and put out a hampered product and was encouraged to go back and add in the things that are making a difference in the final product.

Forza Horizon has a 4 game streak of great games. I'm sure 5 will be amazing. As for Halo, I loved the tech test. Worried the campaign may fall flat.

I'm currently working on a curriculum based off of this game. Where each enemy type/boss is explored as they are encountered and what that means in one's own life. Teaching empathy is difficult and when there is an interactive aide (that students want to play) it makes the process infinitely easier. Authorial empathy is a key component to this and ties in the more traditional CC standards like ELA and even history.

I am really happy that they are releasing it DRM free on GOG on PC. I won't be able to get to it for a while but I played the first one last year and absolutely love it so I will buy this at the very least as a show of support for making a complete, playable, well written and designed game that fits me and all with the consumer friendly choice of DRM free!

what next gen version? It is just a resolution and framerate thing,.. Runs at 1440P 60 on PS5 besides it has so much AA,.. I personally could not tell what reso it is running at,.. ) They could probably unlock it at 120 even in BC mode,.. And yes it is a wonderful game.

This game is the best 3D platformer ever made. Yes even over Super Mario Odyssey. Jak 1-3 doesn't stand a chance. Even Rift Apart wasn't better and I've got the platinum on that game pretty quickly. Currently playing this on my Series S... Series S and it's this gorgeous. I could only imagine how it looks on the Series X. As a person that deals with anxiety and depression sometimes, this game hits home beautifully.
