This game is great, the levels are fun and challenging, the comedy and story keeps me engage. 100% completion is the worst possible thing you can try, this level without a guide is a perfect example.

It’s the Figments isn’t it? How they fade in and out of sight? That’s one of the changes I really like in 2. From what I’ve seen figments are gonna be animated doodles instead that DONT FADE IN AND OUT! Thank you Doublefine!

This is my single most favorite level in Psychonauts. Note one distinct similarity between the last six levels; *No censors.* At least not as enemies. That's because they're all insane and/or mind-controlled! When they show up, they prioritize the mind's *issues* over attacking Raz. In this case, they ignore Raz and attack the Milkman and the Rainbow Squirts, trying to keep Boyd from burning down the asylum. But I hope how Raz learned a key power here is referenced in the sequel; "You are a highly skilled clairvoyant, Raz. Who was your teacher?" "...a paranoid schizophrenic." (rests head in hands) "...who Coach Oleander had brainwashed into temporarily suppressing his pyromania." (rests head on table) "...so he would burn down an asylum and erase all evidence of his crimes?" (starts banging head on table) "...Is this a bad time to mention I learned Confusion from an obsessive compulsive with anger management issues?"

Sadly, everyone is so concerned about the current threat and the fact Truman is comatose, to bother with the past events in the camp. Forsythe just dismisses Raz as a new intern. I wish there was a scene where Hollis read the reports concerning Whispering Rock, Thorney Towers and the Rhombus of Ruin and realizing "So...that's the boy I just let stroll inside my mind under no supervision."

easily the most frustrating level yet so far. The arboretum puzzle was not apparent at first and it's something you really have to pay close attention to. I wasted so much time checking every house like 5x each, setting things on fire, etc to make sure I didn't miss anything.

24:50 Ok, I'll say it... This part is just bad game design. If you jump over the gate, nothing happens. Nothing in this section gives you a hint that you should go through the gate. I was using levitation ball so based on what the game teaches you, I jumped over the gate every time and thought that the crow needs to fly down or something. What's worse is that I was actually able to get the plunger and go to the assassins without ever getting the book from the graveyard, so I did not realize that I was not making progress the way I was supposed to.

The crow leaves behind a feather and you get a hint about clairvoyance, it’s pretty clear you have to try using it, although it doesn’t make much sense why the gate opens. The game is made in a way to give you some freedom, so not everyone will experience it in the optimal way, but it was structured in a way that most people would, I never felt what you mentioned, it just took me a while to think of using clairvoyance on the post office

@@rfh9560 It's not about Clairvoyance, that part was clear from the start. It's about jumping over the short gate vs going through the gate. If you use Clairvoyance and jump over the gate, nothing will happen. You have to trigger the event by specifically going through the gate. Increasing the height of the gate would solve the problem.

I didn't even figure out that the gate opened somehow, I just cheesed it with the levitation ball and jumped above the entire maze. I was softlocked when I got the flower, of course, but at least I got it

first time i saw the fights against the nightmares i was scared out of my wits. i mean there you are stepping out of the post office and without any word of warning, literally out of nowhere you get dragged into hell and face off against this multi-armed gas mask wearing abomination that you learn nothing about. not once but TWICE! And then there's the secret room in Milla's mind... Apparently the nightmares are left over from a scrapped story where milla's would've escaped and started wreaking havoc across the collective unconscious and it's up to raz to help round them all up.

So as I got through this part, i have to say that the aesthetic is there but the level design and gameplay are completely flawed. Clairvoyance was mainly only used for the gated location to get an item, the cameras in the secret office and then for the boss fight against the Den Mother. This should not have been this ridiculous at all

Flax913 7dosh7 Probably Schizophrenia, people with schizophrenia can experience delusions, paranoia, hallucinations (usually stuff like hearing voices in their heads), and they have general disruptions in their thought process. Just go on Wikipedia and search for schizophrenia, it’s an absolutely terrible illness to have. It’s a cruel reminder that we’re all just at our minds mercy.
