One of my favorite traits (perhaps surprising for a psychopath) is sincerity, and Hudson has this trait in spades. Does anyone have any reactions to our thoughts about gender roles? Let me know in the comments.

This bit about narcissistic people and boundaries is very far from what I've experienced. I've found the opposite. Narcissists I've experienced, my dad included, are really antagonistic and once you set a boundary they see it as a challenge

BPD is just narcissism repackaged

@Peterthesailor HG Tudor had said on one of his videos that BPD and Histrionic Personality Disorder are just narcissism. As I thought about it, I became convinced this was certainly the case with HPD, and likely the case with BPD.

Very insightful but psychopathy or borderline personality disorder are not correct in either. Daft. Folk today like to have a cool label. Just be an individual.

hi, we typically get diagnosed with these disorders when our lives are falling apart in some major way. part of a “personality disorder” is that it is pervasive, highly resistant to change, and it has been present for a very long time usually. These labels help us understand our orientation in the world, but also to access treatment because we literally have SO MANY different issues that we become stuck in life and lose all of our relationships (before treatment). There are different psychoanalytic modalities for different personality disorders because they all stem from different types of early attachment trauma and genetic differences concerning the production and metabolization of different neurochemicals like dopamine, norepinephrine, serotonin, glutamate, etc. While clinical DSM5 labels are categorical, these disorders are objectively real and can be explained physiologically.
