I love that at the start, his anger was still asking for permission from his softer side to let rip. Yeah he was ridiculing himself for being too nice, but that angry, vengeful version of Ren waited for his kindness to let go of hope that things could be resolved amicably before going after Kujo wuth aggression.

Yeah, really good. And thats the message from Jung to, right? The pshycoterapist the Guy in this vide is refferencing. Most people repress their shadows, but ren is not doing that here, he has taken control and manage to use it for greater purposes.

Man one thing I learn with all this is how much we love ren we don’t even know him personally. Yet he touched all of our heart with his genius art painting a picture that most people wouldn’t understand yet look at all of us right now white , black , brown , yellow. Purple, blue FEEL IT HIS MAN PAIN ITS REAL ITS SO REAL THAT ALL OF US HAVE THEM SAME PAIR OF SHOES . Ren is the only artist that actually made me want to be better just with his story how he over came his illness and came on top never sold out never broke character because he never played one. I was broken bad when I first heard hi ren I was relieve when there was some one out there feeling wat I was feeling and boom I found the renegade from all parts of the world yet with the same soul as ren it’s beautiful music saves life and ren did that for me. Listen to his makes me want to stand up to my problems and own it

Ren inspired me to make changes in my life too. Hand on heart no other public figure has ever reached me in that way before. It's like he loans us a bit of the strength he had to have had to get through the things life has thrown at him. It's truly a beautiful thing.

he restored hope in us. rekindled unity. showed us that it's not us, it's the world that's sick. when I was in my twenties we would have given up a limb before admitting we were having any sort of mental health issues. if someone asked if you had them it would be answered with a scoff and YOUre trippin'. Ren puts out a powerful healing vibe. it is one that we receive so we'll too. I love how RENegades are so supportive of one another too. Ren is a world treasure. lots of love to all the RENegades! and to future RENegades, so they feel it and find their way to Ren! ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️

i was looking for a song to just fill my head standing on a train platform. i didnt plan on leaving that area ever again. i clicked on hi ren. never heard of ren before. i sat down and cried like a baby instead of jumping. i got up and walked home and got my shit together. i fully believed that song actually changed my life. it saved me. it saved my family even though they will never know it. i saw a light and in it was rens hand. i swear i felt him holding my hand as i walked home. it was light in a VERY SOLID dark place.

I am a chef. And pain can fuel amazing dishes and concepts. Spices like habanero, Szechuan peppercorns, mustard, horseradish, all have strong, almost violent flavors to the palette. But balanced with sweet and other flavors, they can evoke a myriad of emotions, creating a deeper culinary experience.

A year ago, Ren did an interview and was asked how he manages to be so hopeful and uplifting and such a great guy given all of his health struggles and mental battles that he deals with. Ren answered that he isn't actually that great guy all of the time. He has just gotten really good at knowing when to share himself and when not to. This is just a glimpse of what Ren deals with behind closed doors.

Kujo is so much less of a man that I can picture him changing his name and continuing to steal and cheat people...
@justicedelayed
@justicedelayed 7 күн бұрын
This isn't the first time he's done this. There's an interview with Kujo from 2 years back about a similar situation on a smaller scale. I also read from someone I consider a reputable source that he has changed his name once before because of a deal gone bad, but to be 100% clear, at this time, that's just hearsay. But after seeing everything I've seen and from reading Kujo's many comments (some of which are still up, some of which he has edited, some of which he has removed), and after seeing the interview with him from 2 years ago, I have a feeling this is a pattern with him, and this time, he bit off more than he could chew.

Thank you for your reaction. I've watched LOTS of reactions to "Hi Ren" so I could be mistaken, but I believe you are one of the therapists who pointed out that our "dark" sides serve a purpose in our lives. The context then was more how our darker side protects us by tempering unbridled exuberance in order to avoid missteps. In this case, I get the feeling that even as the "dark" side of Ren goes to battle, Ren's gentler nature is serving to protect him from going too far. That isn't explicitly shown in the video (after all, this isn't "Hi Ren #2"), but there is really no violence shown in the video - Ren is essentially telling & showing us how this situation made him feel.

I love love love listening to you break down Ren's music. He is so cerebral and it's so fun to watch you catch things that I didn't even catch and explaining things. Like the heart beat bringing life into his dark side and the portrayal of him walking into the dark as like him really giving in to the darkness and then dragging things out into the light for all to see. *chef's kiss* keep up the amazing work!

You have given one of the best reactions and views of this song. You also noticed details no one else has noticed, and the song has even more depth. Thank you :) I am an IP paralegal and this whole situation pisses me off on different levels. Ren had always been very vocal and conscious of giving proper credit, and for asshole to disregard other artists proper ownership is pure greed, ego and it has ended his reputation and career.

Wow! I’ve already watched 5x and I never caught Ren in the chair!!! What an amazing catch. You’ve dug up so much that I believe Ren intended to be there. But it’s so layered. What I took from you right away was when you mentioned the heartbeat, that I had heard before, but didn’t give much thought to, and you said it brought something to life! This insight was so true and significant. I did have a thought about the choir, representing the Bulgarian chior who was also killed or taken down by Kuji. Hence when they were dead around him. Also in some of Rens words then, he mentioned “we” also being killed. It reminded me of something he said in his explanation video about it being taken from his audience and from the public and from the future listeners as well., whom sic Boi has helped and would continue to do. So those people could also be us! I also love your beautiful comparisons of Rens “soulmate” as music/art. It really brought to life why rims dark side needed to come out. Thanks again for this. it’s truly special to hear your insight.

Fantastic reaction! :) The only thing I'd add is that I feel like the choir dying is because Ren feels like Kujo 'stabbed them in the back' because he stole their work. The screen flashes with them 'fallen' just as Ren says 'Legally'... I think that's the dig there. And I have a sneaky feeling that the choir will rise again LEGALLY in Ren's remake of Sick Boi. It feels like something he would do, to make things right with them, pay them, showcase them, but cut out all trace of Kujo's work. At least, this is what I hope with all my heart will happen, because the choir voices on that track are really iconic now, it would be very weird to have a Sick Boi song without them. :)

I think I read somewhere that Ren has hinted at re-releasing Sick Boi with them. I believe I read that it will be coming out in October. I've gone through so many videos and comments in the last day and my memory sucks. I really hope so though. Showcasing them and giving them their moment is definitely something Ren would do. 21:04 I think it represents kujo stealing the choir sample. Ren's sense of justice is so strong he's even gone to bat to represent and defend what Kujo did to them. He times it with the word 'legally'. What Kujo did to the choir wasn't legal

Jim did you notice at the end the last thing Ren did to Kujo was the pat on his head, but it’s actually deeper than just a double pat on the head - it was a symbolic double tap to the back of his head. Great breakdown of the beatdown! Thanks! The ONLY (and i mean only) thing i would change about this song and video is that on the frame where you froze it, with Ren tied up, is to NOT have the girlfriend tied up. A lot of people were a bit taken back by the fact he went after her. In that scene, I'd have her untied, standing over Kujo's shoulder, pointing and screamimg at Ren. Symbolically showing that she also went after him while he was tied up and, thus, making her fair game for this beatdown.

.... Before Ren, the only Cujo I'd heard of was a Rabid Dog... You should always be careful what you wish on your self.... And I love the way the choir sings "Don't F+?K with Ren"... Genius. Up the RENegades... 💜🐇🤗

Love the fact that he has such a strong bond with his friends that when he asked the guy who plays "Kujo" to shave his head, he said ok if it's for a music video, and the fact that most of the extras in his music videos are friends or friends of friends.

Thank you for such a great, in depth reaction to his video "Kujo Beatdown" In the song 'Hi Ren', he says in life there are victims and there are students. I certainly hope his students learn in person that within the light, there is always the dark, and both need the other. He is a genius who, i would guess, does a lot of the reading required to understand the humanities enough to let us understand the sheer devestation this has caused him. I am so grateful I was a reaction to his "Hi Ren" video.

You're impressively spot on in this from the start, but my like-button impulse was hit by the Jungian brainmelt comment. Gave me a laugh on a strange day - thank you!

The choir was slain on the word "legally" because Kujo *illegally* sold beat containing a choir's sample. Kujo killed the choir.

I have watched several reactions to Kujo Beatdown, I love how they are all different, some focusing more on beats and music, some on words and rhythm and yours also looking at the psychological aspect of the meaning, love this, thank you

I really enjoy your reactions and the insights you share. New subscriber! For me, and you touched on this, Ren shows us his wrestle between unrighteous and righteous anger. Through the full expression of Ren's emotions we witness Ren's Unrighteous anger (explosive, brewing and embittered) and we can feel the effects of this on the human body through Ren's artistry. The heavy breathing, the heart beat, the staccato beat of the 'pscho' violins, etc. Explosive anger hurts ourselves in the damage it can do to our body (especially if this becomes a default state), it can also cause us to say hurtful things to others in the process. Brewing and ambittered anger can blow the situation out of proportion in our minds and cause deep rifts in our relationships as well. We see Ren cycle through these anger states as he recounts his experience. Righteous anger brings about a certain redemptive action. We see a wrongdoing and seek to make it right via redemptive means. Ren tells us about the fight inside himself to do the 'right' thing.

I feel that the extra voices you hear during the Fear Me, See Me part. is both sides of Ren plus the voices of the people that Ren feels were also hurt from all of this, those who found hope and comfort from "Sick Boi'

Brilliant reaction & superb insights on the symbolism & clear message here. The entire, production, cinematography, lyrics, characterisation(s)…just phenomenal again from Ren & his Team. Will it rattle & provoke many opinions….hell yes!! As incredible Art does & should continue to do. Thoroughly enjoyed & learnt from your reaction 👏👏👏

GREAT insight!!! You're obviously in the right profession lol. Really enjoyed your reaction! So beautifully said. As a 60 year-old female and fan of Ren, have to say he caught my attention immediately with Hi Ren (which I saw quite awhile ago now. Have since kept up with a lot of his work, interviews etc... I love all genres of music. Don't care what genre it is. If it's great, it's great. Ren is in the category of GREAT. Not just musically and artistically but he has something we see very little of these days and that is honesty & transparency. No deceptions or B.S. He is as real as they come and clearly we are thirsting for this, and the connections he's making with so many people of ALL ages and backgrounds is just as real. I LOVE his raw honesty but I also recognize a rare gem when I see one. He is multi-talented and I call him the musical Shakespeare. Not just wise beyond his years but a survivor and one heck of a smart cookie!!!! A genius indeed! We have a lot to learn from his brilliant and productive way of dealing with life's extreme challenges. Music certainly does Heal LOVE Carl Jung. Can imagine he'd also be fascinated by Ren and a huge fan as well. ❤
