Awesome plug-in. The most accurate scope I’ve used. Very useful for kick and bass phase troubleshooting. Nice work.

Super! Would it be possible to also do a Mid + Side view (stacked or layered) like you current have an L+ R view? Seeing the size of the mid vs side signals *together* (ideally layered on top of each other) can sometimes be helpful when designing a sound for mono-compatibility. Also... I see at the end you show the summed signal in a 2nd window below another windows showing several individual sounds in a stacked view. I wonder if it would be possible to make a view that shows the summed waveform layered behind all the other waveforms? I could be wrong.... but this *might* be a helpful way to recognize exactly which individual sounds have transients that are summing up too much with each other and making really huge transients on the summed total (like what happens at bus summing points).

yep i will think of it, mid side is a good idea, that would be mono + side as there are no easy alg to extract the 'real' center but thats would still give insights. will test for sum. While testing this week, since man can enable/disable a sound to be part of the sum, i found it was pretty clear when toggling one sound on what impact it had on the sum with others also on, ie make crasy spikes, so not sure will be more clear with the layers visually at the end but ill make some tests.

@@23fx23 Wonderful. I just checked PDC compensation and routing/interplugin communication in Bitwig and Studio One 5 Pro. Works great in both and the automatic PDC compensation is flawless in Bitwig and Studio One. Thinking about the "layered" Sum (along with the other selected individual sounds), I guess I could go either way. It's easy enough to just put a "Sum" window side by side with a "Layers" window and then set them both to the same scaling value (like 0.5 each). I noticed that the SUM view still accurately reports the maximum peak values in the upper right (even when scaling is less than 1.0), so it's easy enough to just glance at the Sum vs Layer windows side by side and check your max peak values in the Sum window. So don't thrash too much on figuring out if you can do a "layer" view that includes the Sum signal too. Really appreciate your work in Psyscope and Psylab!

@@Baphometrix ok cool to know for bitwig and studio one PDC, hadn't time to deep test yet, thanks for report :) technically *normally* thats not that hard for me to add the sum behind the layers on a new mode (if i can pack one more button lol) will do some testings. glad you like the work ;) cheers'

Tsted and the show sum was also a nice idea ;) Think found a descent compromise to 'get it all' without bloating too much new buttons^^, new version uploaded: Build 1.0.51 beta - published august 22-2020 - _added: New M + S mode shows mid and side channels at the same time. _added: In layers mode, can right clic on cell to enable/disable 'show also sum' in background. _improved: L+R and M+S now also work for layers and stack modes. _improved: In dual types modes (LR or MS) can right clic on cell to toggle beetween stacked or overlayed type. (if ovelayed type behind colors are made darker for better reading).

@@23fx23 These changes are fantastic. All 100% usable and helpful enhancements. What's especially nice is that just ONE Psyscope Pro window can now give you all the information you need, which is much nicer/faster than needing to put up two windows and keep them in sync. Thanks!

…is there a manual or webpage that talks about how to calculate adjusting the latency for the plug-in in Ableton. I watched your video but I’m still having some sync issues. My kick is way out of sync of my bass.
@23fx232 жыл бұрын
if you have plugins with latency you have to clic on the sound number, then double clic 'lat' button en enter the value in samples like the exemple at 5:0 note that you need to enter the total summed latency if several plugins. for easier calculation, you can temp group all the plugins of the track, and move your mouse aver the device, ableton will tell you the total latency as shown here: help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001820360-Viewing-the-latency-of-a-plugin-or-Live-device

Maybe these separately colored sounds/layers could be shown in spectrogram view as well. So I could see what instruments and frequencies overlap too much.
