...actually, powdered charcoal has much more micro-pores than the chunky type. Absorbtion is much better as a powder. I make DIY water purification systems. I'm very familiar with the difference. It's science. Powder = more surface for absorbtions. It's weird, but it's a fact.

Thanks for a through review. One thing you did not discuss was affordability. Of course I don't want some cheap thing, but a saw some bags that prices at $300 - not that big if a set either. We the reasonably priced ? Also, cute bags, but I didn't catch the name of the brand. Thank you

i don't think it does. i have been using these for a while and we use fragrance plugs and also candles. we just notice it eliminates musky smells that linger in the room.

Do you have to leave these in the same rooms or can they be moved room to room? Like my home is 1800 sq ft could I buy a set and move the bamboo pillow from room to room once the odor is removed?

@@deirdreocarroll1975 Hi and I'm so sorry for this late response but yes yea definitely can switch them between rooms as you please. we use them all over our home, living room kitchen, and bedroom, as soon as the bad orders get cleared we still move the bags to a different room and they have been amazing in our home.
