I saw Muddy Waters at the original Antone's with Paul Ray and The Cobra's opening the show, during a break in Muddys set an older gentleman invited everyone to a house party with BBQ, we went to East Austin and went to his house and no one was there, it was all the BBQ you could eat for $5.00 , we made a big plate and started to eat when all of a sudden here comes Paul Ray, Stevie, Denny Freeman, then here comes Muddy and his band, the guy was related to Muddy Waters , anyway we had a ball , ate BBQ and drank beer and Grain Alcohol mixed with grape juice until the early morning, oh and someone broke out some Nepalese Hash and great weed, those were the days

I use to see her at Hut's Hamburgers back in the early 1980s , also at Antone's, I think Denny Freeman was in the band, anyway she had a great voice and stage presence, just loved her

Mark, I love these interviews... I really enjoyed listening to Angela,, Charlie and Nick. I really wished though that someone had interviewed Bay Area.singer Lisa Kindred. I saw her at the Saloon for god knows how many years. She was just a great singer and the nicest person. She also told me great stories. She knew Dylan and Lonnie Mack at one point tried to her as a background singer. Anyway love your interviews.

Suggestions for one (or more?) of the "Blues Broads": 1. Van McCoy -- "Never Trust a Friend" (B-side of "Mr. D.J."), 1961. 2. Jimmy Norman -- "Here Comes the Night", 1961. 3. (Dave Edmonds) Rockpile -- "If Sugar Was As Sweet As You" [but, slowed down some], 1980. 4. COMIN' SOON!!! 🤠

Mark, please be quiet more. Let the interviewee talk. Do you realize how many times you stepped on her words when she was talking?
