I do sometimes wonder what it's like be deluded enough to take unseriously the works of Socrates, Jesus, and the great minds of the past, as if the modern man with his iphone and porn addiction is so much more enlightened

@@somber_whimsy Jesus isn’t a mind of the past. He’s a fictional vessel for allegory through several unnamed authors. Take that seriously - sure. A lot of the NT is decent moral waxing. The OT and the majority of the NT is delusional incoherent rambling for the reasons above. Nothing to grasp in history.
