I’m a shop teacher for 30 years. This is maybe the BEST “how to” video I’ve ever seen. Definitely the best in all of you-tube. I will check out all your stuff now, but at least I know all the in and outs of my winch install. Thanks

Hello D-Ray, all the way from Australia. I just wanted to say how great your channel is and the quality of your very informative video's. As a young man, I would always shadow my father in his garage when he was tinkering around. Despite being an OR nurse by profession, I like to give everything a go. Be it my 2005 Cat Skid Steer, 2013 Husqvarna ride on, 2013 Yamaha WaveRunner, 2013 Suzuki KingQuad or my car. With a little help with learned experience, pdf workshop manuals or KZbin channels like yours, I no longer have to bother my father on those late nights I enviably find myself playing with my toys in my shed. Thanks for putting out these videos. Cheers Paul.

A little tip for wire splices. Raychem makes solder sleeves that have solder and water proof heat shrink all in one. Just strip wire over lap and use your heat gun. I use these in industrial applications. They are available in lots of sizes works great for things like this

I appreciate your use of heat-shrink to dress up the already clean and neat installation. I came to your video, because I'm having issues with my solenoid pulling in. I was looking to see if anyone else had to install a separate ground from the solenoid yoke to the frame. My ignition hot, (orange/white acc wire on a polaris sportsman) to connect to the red switch power wire, only puts out 8-10vdc, for some reason. I'm wondering if that's not enough to pull the solenoid in. Any thoughts?

I enjoy your videos alot. I always like watching to see how others install, to see if there are any tricks or what not. Did that contactor come with the Badlands Winch? I have the 2500# model, and it looks like 14 gauge wire was used and a single 50amp relay.

Thanks for your detailed explanation for a custom layout of associated parts before cutting cabling and adding new connectors. However, the insulation on the higher gauged wires which drive their associated contactor coils are blue and green for my Superwinch LT 2500 ATV while I believe that the insulation on your winch are different colors. Please help me to better understand how to distinguish since no detailed definition
