This was incredible, the way it builds up, how everything mixes and flows but still retains clarity. Don´t hit me with the feels on a friday, Yvette. Part 2 can't come soon enough! I implore everyone that can donate to go to the gofundme, let's reach that recording!

I have like your guitar playing a long time but with the strings here it sounds very thin and twangy also missing the tapping. It's also too low in volume. It sounds like it was played as a solo guitar piece and then the strings are built on top. Your playing gets buried underneath the thicker bassier woodier sound of the strings. Maybe a Fender VI or hollow body would work here or that Boss box that makes one sound like an acoustic. would work here What you need to do in my opinion is you could start the writing based off of a guitar piece but once there is a string arrangement like that it replaces what you did. Then the things to do is write a new guitar part that is on top of that not doing the same thing but doing something more different to cut through it. They are taking care of the arpeggios. Something that would stand out over that is longer notes or faster notes or both, maybe in a polyrhythm. A new melody on top of that, to cut through.

Yvette, I told you this when I met y'all in Philly, but seriously every piece of music you create is always able to transport me to a safer place. I feel like I'm in a Ghibli movie or something every time. Thank you so much for being such a beacon of light in the world and for personally being my biggest inspiration when it comes to songwriting.

I was lucky enough to "discover" Yvette really early on in her KZbin career,. I said at the time that Yvette was one of the freshest, most vibrant and unique guitar players I had ever heard. A scant few years and innumerous praises later, Yvette simply continues to shine with her compositions and playing. These three pieces define the word sublime for modern guitar and orchestral compositions. Thank you Yvette and all the musicians involved. On a personal note, as a New York City native, I am simply delighted to see the wonderful New School program embracing artists like Yvette.

That was really beautiful. The title represents how the piece feels/sounds for sure. I really felt it. Had a lump in my throat from when the cellos came in. Also as a sidenote, for fun I often think about collaborations between artists that I think would work really well; I've legitimately pictured you working with Bon Iver (well Justin Vernon) and SIgur Rós, and this sounds kind of in the ballpark of what I'd imagined! I'll be coming back to this video a lot (and probably the other two once they're out). I hope you reach your funding goal to have this recorded and released cos this is just stunning. Ps. I love your sparkly green guitar amongst all the mahogany lookin ahh string section lmao.
