PT1 Cutting a Pass Through in my Iveco Daily Prison Truck Campervan Conversion, OH and Derek's back😉

Due to a subscriber who emailed me pics of his pass through he has started on his very own Iveco Daily Prison Truck, The very same vehicle. I was very keen to get on with this job but there was immediate regret for a minute or two... If it wasn't for his pics and helpful input I would not have taken this part of the project on just yet. Nice to See Derek and Deena in the video. Just back home myself from a few days away in our Motorhome with Friends. It looks like I am now going to be installing solar to their Caravan as they used my suitcase panel to allow them to be hookup free. As we had much more room in the non electric area of the site. You've do a cracking job on the Truck so far, and it's not long before it will be finished, then time to enjoy the hard work you have put in with Derek's advice, even if you haven't always taken it on board and done it the right way (Derek's Way). 😉

I agree about the sites offering both hookup and non hookup. You always seem to have a fair bit more room on non hook up. Took mine out today for a drive to go meet up with my kids all over 25. Close to 300 miles covered today on motorways and the road noise was ridiculous. Was almost shivering coming back just now lol but the rain stayed out 👍

Hello from the Netherlands . what you actually want for a camper is the Iveco daily express (dhl) version and then the version with the walk-in door IN the cabin. because that cabin is raised so that there is standing and walking height to be able to walk straight into the box in the back from outside. and you want the walk-in door in the cabin because then you have the whole box from the back to be able to divide it all up if you want and you can walk and stand height and place flat walls for windows over the entire box. and then that body on a 4x4 donor undercarriage

I agree. I'm after one for the passenger seat. Definitely needed in this van as the torsion bar setup on the front end of these make for quite a harsh ride at times 👍

@@PrisonersNoLongerAccepted Must have done a lot of editing to delete swearing 😃😃😃 It''s a good job I don't record myself anyway as most people would think I've got tourettes or the videos will be about 2 minutes long after editing. replaced the leak off pipes yesterday and somehow managed to damage a plastic pipe spraying diesel all over the engine when I started it....don't get this problem with customer vehicles 😂

Got one of those Fiamma fans in our van with a Maxair at the other end. The idea was to have air flowing through the van from one to the other…. So noisy it’s never been on!!!

David the exact same as us. Maxxfan over the bed and the Fiamma at yhe other end. To noisy... waaayyyy to noisy to have on in the evening whilst your chilling. I'll be swapping it out for the smaller Maxxfan soon, possibly, probably, at some point 👍

I've got a MK6 Iveco and I've been wondering if I need to reinforce the cab cut-out? Or can I just cut it and that's it? I'm building a camper based on a 2016 Tesco delivery van.

My cut out is 1100mm x 500mm. I honestly don't think it needs reinforcement at all. I have copied a subscribers cut he has done on his iveco prison truck and I'm sure he's not worried either about reinforcing his 👍
