I love that edging stitch, it does give a lovely rustic/homely feel. It reminds me of the blankets I had as a child (back in the 70s and early 80s!) that were all edged with that blanket stitch. The finished bowl is beautiful. Does it balance well when it’s filled with bits? The warm green and yellow tones are very welcoming. The idea of being cloned from embroidery stabbings is a fascinating idea. Could be good for sci fi stories! And yeah, we do these things because we love to create. I doubt that drive will ever entirely disappear from humanity!

Thank you - I’m using the bowl to hold supplies for my next project (threads, scraps, buttons) and it’s working great. My mini little bowl sits well inside it too. And it would make a great sci fi story too! Cheers, Christine

Ah your bowl turned out so pretty and it will be very handy on your desk too - as you said, we do these things for the joy of creating, but it's wonderful when we end up with something beautiful and useful too isn't it. hehe love the idea of all us makers being cloned in the future from all the DNA we add to our creations, that would make a great sci-fi series! Thank you for the ispiration and the storytime xo

Thank you Christine for your video and sharing this wonderful story. So glad to hear Mr Frog made it after all. Reminds me of Tales from the Riverbank or Mr Toad which we had in the UK. This bowl is amazing and will be such a lovely addition in your craft room. I stitched along with you just as if we were sitting together at your table. We had a great stitchy do!!

Ciao Christine, your bowl is exquisite! I made one with hexagons, too,but at the end of my stitching it laid flat😂so I thought of threading a ribbon around the edge and it worked for me,it gives me joy,as you say, each time I look at it. Thank you for the story and for the constant inspiration ❤

Ah yes, that’s why I had to go with the square base. But great idea for your bowl to use a ribbon. I love how inventive everyone is 🤗

Hi Christine you've done it once again! You've created a beautiful piece of art! I love the blanket stitch around the edges, i don't know how you get your stitches so evenly spaced. I hope that i can get mine somewhat evenly spaced. I've chosen the fabric and will get it cut out tomorrow. Thank you for finishing the story of snugglepot and cuddlepie! It's such a cute story, i kind of feel sad that I didn't have them as childhood friends! lol😅 TFS 😊

Thanks Kim - really look forward to seeing yours. With the blanket stitching I find it easiest to come from back to the front - not sure if that makes a difference. Hope you have a lovely weekend xx

Hi Christine. Your bowl is so cute. I enjoyed hearing the story. Maybe you should start reading a story every time you do a video. Stitching and Reading with Christine. I think that sounds good. What do you think? Hugs ❤️🙂
