In an interview with rolling stone Thomas haake the drummer who also wrote the lyrics said “It ties in with the biblical apocalypse, the idea of a deity coming back to undo it all and taking to heaven the ones who are righteous”. Meshuggah are definitely a creative band! Like metal but made by aliens.

Yeah meshuggah arent djent. They are a syncopacted rythmic percussion band ;) Bands like periphery try to be rythmic, but fall flat on their face from overdoing it. Meshuggah implant grooves in ur brain. That feel natural to tap to in the car once u figure them out . Listening to periphery is like.. wtf is this crap
