I don't understand why people criticise the content in this song. I think it's amazing, Protest the hero is a band that, despite they play progressive metal, they are still making this "punk" style, with punk i refer to the lyrics content, in this album (Volition) there is a lot of very interesant messages (and excelent music too). If you are an artist, you will try to create and say what you want. For me PTH is a very complete band and i am proud to listen to this.

i won't start a musical discussion cause i don't know very much about music, the important of music is the message artists want to do, genres are for journalists. It's just an opinion, i am sorry if i wrote without know about this"music genre".

The message about pit bulls really hits home because I, like many, live in a city with a pit bull ban. These dogs are absolutely amazing, and I can't believe how little people seem to care. "They're just dogs. I don't know why everyone gets so worked up about them." Animals are living creatures, too. They feel pain and experience emotions just like people. Dogs are very emotional animals, and I wish more people understood them, or at least tried to.

Amazing song with an amazing message. I don't own a pitbull but they are a banned breed in some cities and counties here, Most shelters will not adopt them out here either because of the stereotype the media has perpetuated to demonize this animal. Go Canada! Take the power back, It's not too late. Don't give up and become a totalitarian police state like us.

This reminds me of the music PtH used to put out. It's politically driven, and does a damn good job of spreading it's message. I haven't really listened to them in several years, but I'll definitely be listening to them a lot more. "Dollars are worth more! Than a worker in need! More than John and Jane Doe! With a family to feed!" - Red Stars Over the Battle of the Cowshed
@TheDonkeyFLOPPER8 жыл бұрын
Have they strayed from this kind of music? They're still pretty in to their morals in my opinion
@beetsmuhhmeet8 жыл бұрын
Honestly I feel as if they went back to their roots. Kezia kinda wandered a bit from where A Calculated Use of Sound started from. Fortress still covered certain social topics like the rich taking advantage over the poor and such. Volition though there's a noticeable difference. I kinda want to say a lot had to do with them leaving Vagrant Records and them basically self publishing their own work.
@TheDonkeyFLOPPER8 жыл бұрын
Mark Melchor just got my ears on Pacific myth and I feel like volition and fortress had a baby. I really like it. I like them putting out music of their own will.
