My sister used to sing this to me back in the day, then we used to discuss what we would do when we were little old ladies. I am that little old lady on my own. My sister passed away nearly 40 years ago - if we'd only had time.

What a coincidence. I was JUST thinking of my sister who passed away nearly 40 years ago. She was 8 years older than me and her daughter recently had her second child and named her after my sister.

I am coming up 70 soon and a reminder of how much I have lived and how little time is left I am not afraid of dying as my trust and hope is in my Jesus but I tell my two children how much I love them and encourage them to say anything they need to because I dont want them to have any regrets when I am gone. I am thankful to have had plenty of quality time with my dad before he passed but wish I had spent more time talking to mum instead of watching TV. when I visited. Love you mum love you dad..

The greatest singer I have ever heard . I said it when I first heard his voice all those decades ago . He is still the best . This wonderfully talented man should have been a huge international mega star . His voice has richness, and power, and a spirit in it that connects you to it and to him. That's something Jones and Humperdinck, good as they are, just simply don't have . The only other singer on this planet that had that mysterious quality too was ELVIS . John Rowles and Elvis were two men who were gifted from above . Your lucky to see that kind of talent once in a lifetime , we got it twice . What different paths their lives took though. Perhaps John was the fortunate one because he is still with us today . No global mega stardom and no riches beyond measure , but he is still alive and well and happy with a good and faithful wife and family . Money is an enormous asset, but it wont buy you what's important in life . You can have the finest house , but it wont buy you a home . You can have the finest bed, but it wont buy you sleep , and you can eat the the finest of foods but it wont buy you an appetite and you can have the most beautiful girl by your side , but it wont buy you love . Yes , I think John was the lucky one . I still listen to this man's amazing voice today. What a talent he was and is . Thank you for this video .

My mum would listen to all this music and I hated it... now, I love listening to it. Had the chance to meet John Rowles in Australia coming out of a store... managed to get his autograph for my mum... told him how we were sick of hearing LP's being played at top volume on a Sunday morning... what a wonderful man he is... with a gorgeous voice...

Loved this song when I first heard it thought it was really good then and I'd be about 14 y old. It's so true about time and how quickly it goes by. Enjoy your time while you're here. I'm almost 65 now and I still love this song and it is still as powerful as it was then .

Now he is Sir John Rowles . I've met him twice and he gave me a rose each time. Love this guy. Proud to be a New Zealander. Grew up listening to his songs.

I have enjoyed this song for many years now. I reflect, once again, to the person who shared this with me. Pete has been a life long friend. He is now into his seventies. Yet another reminder of how short life is, and the people in it!

If he stayed in England he would have. Was his choice to move to Hawaii. It tells all, in his Autobiography.

My brother used to play this record a lot as I grew up. I had the privelege hearing John live in New Plymouth in 1986 and to meet him after the show was a highlight too.

Love JR. Had the pleasure giving him a lift back to the Cross after his performance at Newtown leagues club. long before his fame. My wife wanted to meet him so I went to his dressing room and asked. He was totally charming, and I look back at that moment with great fondness
