The creativity it takes to mine this much from a single video game and have it all be good is some kind of record. Dirt League unlocked infinite potential with good writing and a terrific ensemble. They’ve been exploring all the dimensions and connecting the dots with an understanding of gaming culture, human psychology, and media savvy. They could make a fortune just doing corporate videos like John Cleese from Monty Python and others. They make something look easy that is one of the least easy things to do. Respect. I should have been tired of this schtick years ago but it’s like an endless well of material. That’s more impressive than any one period of development. It’s the lasting power of the concept, which requires a tremendous amount of creative collaboration. These guys look like they’re having a good time, and they’ve stuck with it, 100% committed to the work. It shows.
