The biggest issue I had with American public bathrooms was the massive gaps in the stall panels

That...and the door almost touches the toilet. It is hard to open and shut the door without straddling the toilet so you don’t rub your legs against it.

Try that and holding a 8 month old while hovering and then trying to wipe and pull up and button pants with 1 hand while the other arm is about to fall off from holding purse and baby in it. Was so happy when he learned how to walk!

Okay, I have to share my favorite public bathroom story.... So I’m at Target with a 3 year old girl, and she asks me, “Do you smell that?” And it was awful, really bad right next to us and the culprit was obviously still there... So I said, “no.” And after a few seconds, my little sweety said to me, “Yes you do smell it, Miss --! I know you do!!” 🤣

When I was in college, a friend and I went to the bathroom together… while in the stalls, another girl was in there and was about to let loose. My friend and I were chit chatting so it wasn’t dead silent (I could tell the other girl had to poop) then next thing we hear is a LOUUDD fart and plopping… I tried not to bust out laughing from the sound of it, but I did. I then tried to save myself by acting like my friend and I were having a funny conversation beforehand but I know that girl knew we were laughing from her taking a boo boo 🤣🤣

My tip for the best place for such things is Home Depot. The bathrooms are almost always next to the lumber section so they smell of fresh cut wood and your sounds can be drowned out by them cutting the wood and other warehouse noises👍

Missed one! When the stall (the only one available) has no lock or a faulty lock, you have to do the one leg or arm stretch to keep the door closed!

I hate it when there's no TP! Also when the person before you "forgets" to flush. Another pet peeves: why do people have to make verbal noise when they go: sighing, moaning, grunting. I don't need or want to hear all that! And when I see a messy/gross stall, I think to myself, "How did your mama raise you?" Also, also, if you're having "tummy trouble", maybe going out in public isn't a good idea. Also, also, also, parents leaving their baby's wet/dirty diaper out for all to see. To me, the worst public restrooms are located in fast food establishments. Especially during these "trying times". Lack of staff is no excuse for a restroom that makes a porta-potty look good!🤢🤢🤢🤢
