ever since I chopped off my hair, I've had a lot of bad experiences in public bathrooms. though it did also led to one of the funniest experiences I've had too. during finals week at my college, a guy clearly thought I was also a guy and followed me into the bathroom. poor dude was immediately baffled by the lack of urinals but also more than a little too tired to care and said "fuck it" and went into a stall, did his business and left. I still laugh picturing his face as he tried to figure out how he has gotten it wrong

THANK YOU for talking about trans people in this! cis people really think only trans people get misgendered or 'offended' by use of the wrong gender language, but it happens all the time to cis ppl as well! we all just want to be called the things we prefer, and do our business peacefully

Amber, I honestly do not understand how it is that they don't see a woman when they see you, seriously. It could be that you have a presence about you, that people don't understand and it just puts out strength and sureness, which is wonderful, I just can't see that you look like a man, yes you are somewhat masculine, but your feminine side is right there with you. When you talk to people or smile at them, you are feminine, and I think when you are around women that you are attracted to, then your masculine side comes out, I say this because I have seen your videos on KZbin. You are an awesome, kind, respectful, understanding, etc. Wish you the best this New Year.

This happens only every time I leave the house to go some where, which is daily. Thank you for putting this out there and sharing this so people like me don't feel alone. Short Story: I will never forget, I was at a car dealership with my Dad and I had to use the bathroom and an entire grown ass man in his middle age walked into the women's bathroom, while I was washing my hands, took a piss and then washed his hands next to me and walked out like he didn't just violate my boundaries as a woman in the woman's bathroom all because I was masculine presenting and walked into this bathroom so he assumed it was the men's bathroom. Shorter story: I was chased into the bathroom by another woman being yelled at to get out and when she put her hands on me I turned around and told her I am a women, do you want to see my bra or my panties first? Because I just did not have time for it that day. She was mortified and apologized for the rest of the day about it. This is a thing that needs to be addressed. And I love how people are like if you don't like how you are treated, change the way you look. And I wish it wasn't like this but do I conform to society or do I continue to be happy being authentically me? I chose to be authentically me.

@RecklessSweetheart I had the sMe thing happened to me. I was at a Walmart and I had to go to the bathroom this sorry "white lady" was with her granddaughter and the little girl had just walked into the bathroom before me. I went in and she came in fast and was like "sir this is the female bathroom" I kindly said I am a female. She said oh I'm so sorry it's just my granddaughter was in the bathroom and I didn't know. But I get called sir on a daily it used to bother me but now I just don't have the energy for some of this ppl.

@RecklessSweetheart I appreciate that seriously but I know who I am at the end of day so I just learn to let it go. Another one happened to me I had to do a drug test cause I was in pain management because I have lupus and sarcoidosis the nurse took me into the women's bathroom did what I had to and we came out. Unfortunately I had to go back in and this older gentleman gone yell and say "sir your in the wrong bathroom" pissed my mom off and she went off. But ppl need to think or just kindly ask it would be so much better.

I finished washing my hands i was so confused at Frist, that i went to check if i was in the right restroom and walked back to dry my hands and i spoke oh i am in the right restroom and i walked away and she ran out so fast to check again and she look down in shame after she realizes my voice.

Ok, I was at work in the Women's locker room washing my hands. Another staff walks into the restroom, stops when she sees me. Steps back out to look at the sign. I look at her roll my eyes and say " you are in the right restroom". She looks at me and says she is sorry. I walk out but she comes to find me when she was done. She walks up to me still apologizing. She feels like crap because, heres the kicker lol she was a lesbian too 😲 she felt so back but I didnt care. I get looked at and called sir all the damn time. It's to the point where I dont say anything anymore.

I’ve had this happen to me more times than I can count. I have large breasts and a decent sized butt and I will get misgendered. It happens to me at work and I just don’t say anything anymore. I used to correctly people as politely as I can but that only caused more trouble than anything else so I just let it be and keep it pushing. I try not to use any public restroom when I’m out if I can avoid it. I’ve had someone verbally assault me while washing my hands in a female bathroom. I couldn’t say anything because she was white and I’m black and where we were is a predominantly white neighborhood. I didn’t want to be labeled as “the angry black woman”. Now if I absolutely have to used the bathroom, I put on my earbuds and play something loud.

We (people who are not part of the LGBTQIA community) need to do better! Get educated and help to educate. Watching this made me feel sad that people can feel like this while using a public bathroom, something that most of us take for granted. This day in age no one should feel like that, as you say people should mind their business and move on. A simple smile can make anyone's day X

This happened a lot to me in school growing up. Not always in the bathroom but just in the hallways or if I had a substitute teacher for the day. I never spoke up, people just laughed and other kids corrected them. I actually stopped dressing so manly when I became an adult. I tried it for about a year and I hated it. I wasn't comfortable and men started treating very different and it felt gross. I went back to what was comfortable for me now. Even though, I still get those weird looks because I'm non binary and married to a cis man, so when people see us in public they look confused or turn up their noses at us.

Omg this has happened to me so many times. I work in corporate America and I kept getting called sir bc I had a short cut and was typically dressed masculine. But I got boobs and they are not small. 37 years of being mistaken for a male I just have gotten used to it. I think it comes from my mom when I was a little girl and people would say how much of a handsome son she has(which was me) and all she did was smile and say thank you and would never correct them. So in that sense I never needed to feel to correct people on my gender and I'm ok with it but I do understand what u mean by saying having the patience to do that.

I am a nonbinary transmasc, but throughout my life, I always get confused to be a trans woman. The confusion never bothered me, but the violence that comes with it is just.... ugh. Gender doesn't make sense to me in general, and sometimes I don't think it even makes sense to society. I don't wanna use Testosterone, so I still use the women's bathroom for safety, but since I'm masc, I experience the same things, and it's crazy, cuz I just wanna pee in peace! Maybe, what could make all our lives easier, is if we acknowlage that our bodies, and the way we present, aren't the only way to exist, and before acting all sus about someone's presence in the bathroom, check out the whole scenario to see if that person really shouldn't be there, or your just discriminating. Free the pee lol

You just started with a build back better sales pitch. Unfollowed. Decentralisation of resources and tech is essential to empower smaller less advantaged communities and will also help people to hold onto their culture. Centralising everything only helps the powerful and rich stay in power, control what is considered "appropriate" and continue to to control essential resources like food, water, electricity, education etc etc. People deserve the right to be self sustainable. We are not slaves to non living corporations and agencies.
